While I don't necessarily think having an expensive luxury festival in the Caribbean that's focused more on being rich than music is necessarily a bad idea from a financial point of view, it's just a breathtakingly stupid idea to go out of your way to associate it with the producers and brand of Fyre

my first reaction is to agree with you wholeheartedly, but then I think about all the free press and scrutiny this thing will get. all they have to do is book a sellable lineup and not do fraud.
personally i'd switch it from a luxury international festival to just a regular ass conus festival though, but with some stupid $2,000 #1 platinum vip special golden bottle service rock star best people tickets available.
If Goldenvoice bought the name and just ran a standard festival in a tropical location like Kaboo Caymen then this would sell out in 12 hours.
I agree. As crazy as it seems I'm pretty confident that if it were actually put on by a company that manages music festivals the name "Fyre Festival" would draw so many people in with hype from the documentaries.
