1) This is not an original picture. You are remaking or rebooting a movie that has already been made.
2) There will be twelve rounds of drafting filling the following roles:
Name of film. (Required.) Include synopsis with any relevant changes that you would like to share. (Feel free to use IMDB's. Let's keep it to no more than a paragraph.)
Director. (Required.) If you are selecting a directing team that has an established history of codirecting three or more films, they count as one selection. If they have a less established history, they will need to be selected separately.
Cast (Required.)
Optional: Score composer, soundtrack artist(s) remaking a song or songs from the original, screenwriting reworking the script, key grip, best boy, cinematographer, etc. Each counts as one selection.
3) Once someone (or something) has been drafted, they are unavailable for anyone else in any capacity.
4) Infinity Draft style. Each actor, director, etc. needs to have at least two IMDB credits.
5) Snake draft
6) Draft order determined by random.org
7)Disputes handled via poll. Upon confirming receipt of dispute request, a poll will be put up and run for twelve hours. Polls can run seven days a week but no poll will start before 9AM or after 9PM Eastern. Drafting will continue while the poll is running.
8) Trades are allowed.
9) Winners decided via poll in rounds of 12, 6 and 3. 48 hours each. Polls can run seven days a week but no poll will start before 9AM or after 9PM Eastern. Results hidden until the polls are complete. (In the event of a tie, both parties move on to the next round.)
10) The movie is being made in the relative present. (I.e., we are not making a movie in the 20's but it can be a movie from the 20's that you are remaking.)
11) Twenty participants will be selected on a first come.
12) Any rule changes prior to the start of the draft will be decided by me and updated in the OP.
13) Any rule changes after the start of the draft will require a supermajority of participant votes (thirteen) in favor prior to adoption.
14) Each participant has a maximum of Twelve hours for their picks. Once this window is up, the next participant is on the clock and the draft will resume as normal. The person with the lapsed pick can make their selection from anyone currently available when ready.
15) Locations are not draftable.
16) Once an individual has been drafted, their role must be designated. If being used for multiple roles, each role would be considered a draft pick. (E.g., Say Orson Wellsis drafted in the first round and then designated as the director of the film. If they are also going to be designated as an actor in the film, this would need to be "drafted" in a subsequent round.)
17) If you are drafting a remake as your film to be remade, previous iterations of the film are still fair game. Subsequent ones are not.
In Stanley Kubricks first true horror film, this remake of the horror classic, a group of young travelers -- including Erin (Lupita Nyong'o), Andy (River Phoenix), Morgan (Josh Borlin) and Pepper (Eva Green) -- comes across an isolated Texas town where unfortunate events begin to happen to them. While trying to find local authorities they come across a plantation style house. Unfortunately for them, the decrepit house is the residence of a family of deranged backwoods killers --Sheriff Hoyt (John Cazale), Luda Mae Hewitt (Kathy Bates) and Monty Hewitt (Bruce Dern) -- , most notably a hulking masked brute known as Leatherface (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson), who begins to hunt the stranded youths down.

The film tells of two very different individuals who share a prison cell in South American : Valentin Arregui, who is imprisoned (and has been tortured) due to his activities on behalf of a leftist revolutionary group, and Luis Molina, a transgender woman in prison for "corrupting the youth". To pass the time Molina recalls the plots of her favorite B-movies. As the story progresses the audience learns that the interwoven stories resonate much more deeply than the simple escapism Valentin original dismisses them as. Touching on issues of identity, political theory and love. Not to mention projecting Molina's guilt over making a deal with the secret police to extract information from her sick cellmate.
The main film is shot by Ingmar Bergman. Cause nobody shots chamber dramas better.
Peter Sellers plays Molina.
Javiar Bardem plays Valentin
Isabelle Adjani: As the b-movie starlet Molina loves. Adjani will be the lead in all sequences, Valentin's girlfriend in flashbacks, AND, yes, the Spider Woman.

also, my last draft of Bryan Cranston, Tom Hanks and Mark Ruffalo in 12 Angry Men was fuckin sweet.
What was your full cast?
the three I mentioned, Robert DeNiro, Robert Downey Jr, Will Smith, Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen, Jonah Hill and by the end I started kinda shitposting and got Adam Sandler and Tobey Maguire.
I would be in but my schedule is super full coming up and I’d hate to ghost out like I did in the last draft at the end. I super appreciate the consideration and you all rule.
