i only did stubbs/cuda last year, but it was fine, my only complaint was the lines were a little long, but it's kind of always like that at stubbs. maybe they could add some ticket checkers at each event just to make that go smoother. barracuda having 2 stages at least adds 'some' festival flavor, but i hate that venue so much lol.

How is Empire as a venue? I have like 5% chance of doing Friday & Saturday.
I really like empire. Definitely better than barracuda. Smaller pretty decent indoor stage and a very nice larger outdoor stage. Sounds always been good when I’m there and always easy access to the bar and bathrooms
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

When I saw Lucy Dacus there they sold too many tickets so they put her outside. She came on ten minutes before Barbarella started playing rap music at their outside patio. It was such a mood killer.
Angel Olsen was great last night but I'm a little surprised she opted to play nearly the entire new record and just 2 (maybe 3?) songs from the rest of her discography. And this is coming from someone that loves All Mirrors. I could tell some people weren't that pleased since they had to stand in the freezing cold for her.
Empires only knock is when it is grounded, it can be very hard to see anything. Still a good venue. Decent drink prices, good sound, indoor stage can be fun.
I'm getting facebook memories reminders of FFF Fest and I wonder why can't Levitation try the SOS-Ren Faire fusion for next year? That place was a wonderland of a festival setting.

because it's too far from austin and iirc the town it's in wasn't thrilled about it.

How was tr/st??? I almost went but I was lazy and tired and cold and couldn’t justify $30 for just him though he is amazing.
just went to the one show, but...schedule still sucked, too much overlap for not being able to go set to set easily. they did have more multi show ticket options this year though. they just need to move it to an actual location again. the full lineup has been so good the last couple years, it's just not worth it trying to do as much as possible.
I think they can find somewhere if they keep the line ups at this caliber and dont swing for the fences. We dont need ground breaking stages and other production....just get the ppl on a field from 2p-10p and have some bars. Couple food trucks and portos....were good.
