This has 43 acts on the poster so far. By comparison, Forecastle had 55. I don’t think we get more than that.
Someone on here mentioned Paak. That’s the kind of name that bumps this up from a B- to an A- lineup for me. Paak + Nile Rodgers jamming would be elite-level shit.
A girl on IG commented on the lineup and asked if they were gonna add Rosalia. It got one like - from festival founder Paul Peck.
Nice. Anderson Paak seems like a lock too. This is also the same weekend as House Of Creatives Fest which I assume will no longer be a thing with this around. I’d be surprised if they didn’t try to tap into that market. (Chromeo, MIA, Little Dragon, Alt J, Hot Chip, Flaming Lips, MGMT, Metronomy) were HOC artists the past couple years
For those interested Paul Peck did an interview with Mike Ryan Ruiz of the Dan Lebatard Show about his path in music and Miami Beach POP. overcast.fm/+Rjp9QF-yM Starts at around 13:30

Chromeo added. 3 stages, two open air main stages and one tent in the middle. Local promoters said more additions coming but nothing too notable prob mostly local/regional.

Not my favorite lineup but everything Peck touches is a true experience so I’m excited to check this out. Polo and Pan the night before the fest is cool too.
I’ve been following it closely since the lineup was first announced. In a weird way, this lineup is perfect for where I’m at in my musical adventure right now. But I had trouble finding someone else who felt the same way (enough to drop the $ that’s required for a fest in a major city).
Just to confirm, this festival will definitely be taking place on the beach between 5th and 10th? I booked a hotel within walking distance and want to make sure that’s all good.
Other than that, I get to make my dream of seeing Jack Johnson play on a beach come true. I’m also very excited for both Nile Rogers sets, Margo Price, the Raconteurs, Chance the Rapper, Daddy Yankee, Bomba Estereo, Maggie Rogers, Leon Bridges, Magic Giant, Juanes, and Sean Paul.
If anyone has any tips to save some money, please let me know. We haven’t bought tickets yet. And the hotel we booked has free cancellation in case we want to consider elsewhere.
Not sure in the 2019 busy festival calendar you can ever truly recover from a postponement like this so close to the festival. I know I’ll be hesitant to ever send money their way again.
But at least they canceled rather than pulled a Fire Fest.
For who anybody booked non-refundable flights and accommodations for this, I invite you to come Space that weekend. I’m playing alongside Stavroz and we also have Egyptian Lover that night. Message me for guest list.

Stavroz is dope, listen to this guy!
But yeah, not surprising. They need to stop trying to launch these big, massive festivals. Build it up slowly over time. Coachella, Lolla, Roo, EDC, etc. started from humble beginnings.

This wasn’t that big of a festival. The lineups dropped off fairly quickly after the first 3-4 acts each day. This was the first festival I was excited about not having to rush through the gates at opening to catch every act I’d want to see.
It’s a bit of a bummer to see the first festival booking Daddy Yankee as a headliner not going through with the effort. I wouldn’t doubt he’ll pop up at Lollapalooza and Coachella one of these years.
The lineup might have been too all over the place. And the lack of a solid undercard might have kept people from turning this into a destination fest.
Postponed. I’m assuming ticket sales. Same weekend as EDC was always going to be tough for them.
Postponed is such an odd word to use. Why not just canceled?
I mean, it’d be difficult to put this on within the next 6 months anyways. You’re refunding all tickets rather than making them available for the postponed date. You’ll get into Okeechobee and Sunset Music Fest overlap season in the spring. Summer is too hot for a fest. So you’d really have to hope for next fall, at which time it’d be an entirely new festival and new lineup. Assuming people trust you with their money and plans again (which I don’t think people will).

The lineup may not be huge, but a brand new, multigenre, three-day festival is overly ambitious.
