Firefly getting rage and hangout not for me is a kick in the balls...looks like my ticket could be up for sale and making Boston Delaware trip this year instead.

"Who are we going to replace Juice WRLD with?" "LOL we have no money in the budget for that." "Alright, just get the graphic designer to tweak the poster so there's no awkward gap." "Bro, I just told you we have no money."
Oof. I agree with you. I’m surprised they couldn’t replace Juice.
Someone on the Hangout Reddit reached out to the Hangout and they said they’re replacing him. This poster is probably just a temporary homage to Juice.

Their move is probably wait until the payment plans are paid off and the condo cancellation deadlines are surpassed, then postpone. I think they would carry on if the backlash factor wasn't so huge.
Gulf Shores closed their public beaches on March 19th. Supposedly until April 6th.
Meanwhile, still quiet on the public Hangout front.
A redditor claiming to be a vendor said they received an email from that an announcement would be made on MAY FIRST. so basically waiting until the last minute, screwing out anybody who booked lodging.
This morning we received notice from the City of Gulf Shores that Hangout 2020 cannot proceed in May due to COVID-19. Rest assured, refunds will be available. After our fastest sellout ever, and what was shaping up to be a banner year on the beach, we are gutted that this is the outcome for all of you, but agree that this is the right decision for the health and safety of everyone involved.
We kindly ask for your patience as we explore all options for a rescheduled festival. Given the rapidly changing landscape of the pandemic, we want to make sure we make the right call and need a little more time. Please know that as we vet all options, your enjoyment and your safety will be our two guiding priorities.
We will make another announcement within a couple weeks with more information, including the transfer & refund process. Until then, please follow all social distancing guidelines, stay safe and healthy, and think of better times when we’ll be on the other side of this thing with the sun on our face and the sand in our toes.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your patience and understanding during this time.

I'm assuming these are all old sets re-aired? I loved that Trey Band set in 2013. If it's the Flaming Lips Dark Side show, I caught that one in 2012 and the 2014 show also. I saw the intro to DMB and stayed for 5 minutes (no hate, just was leaving). I saw Mule in '13, RHCP in 2012 and probably the GCJr show. I drove to Foley to get a peak at Owa a few weeks ago. I ended up going down Highway 59 and actually passed by The Hangout and had to laugh at the caricature it became. It had been 5 years since I went, but we managed to get in most of the prime years (2012-2015 but missed the first 2). I actually have to go to Orange Beach tomorrow to social distance at the beach with my brother and nieces.
Shout out to Baych Bawb who you know is missing that Salty Life
This is really cool of them to do. Depressed I had to cancel the awesome beach house booked, but my wife didn't wanna be those spring breaker kids. Can't blame her. The more ignorance I see when going out now, the more I'd rather do less populated vacation areas.

High five to those made it to the beach regardless of Hangout being on or off.
The Zac Brown and Amos Lee show at Bridgestone cancelled so got those dollars back.
Steely Dan/Steve Winwood at Chastain in ATL, Tedeschi Trucks at Fox in ATL, and Bruce Hornsby scheduled for the Caverns all moved to 2021....so we all hope we live that long.
I think JJ Grey as also been moved to 2021...I will have to do some serious thinking before going in a cave with over a thousand crazies for a concert.
They have not cancelled Alabama with Charlie Daniels at Bridgestone yet....not sure the risk of being there will be worth that show either. Wish they would reschedule these indoor shows out of doors.
Missed Braves opening game and one other we had tickets for.
But.....Got my new deck renovation and garage done. Spent a lot of time with my sweetie. And, we are going to try and go to the beach in June for some sun, sand, seafood, and good loving. Hope all are well and making the best of a festival-less summer.
2021 Hoodstock Songwriters Festival Perdido Key May, JJ Grey September in the Caverns, Eric Clapton at Gwinnett County Gas South Arena, Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival November, next up TTB in Chattanooga.
Well, Alabama and CDB are moved to 2021 and I think that is pretty much the summer of music gone in the wind. Consolation prize, my girlfriend and I have a 4th of July party in ATL and then a week on the beach. Been playing guitar on my deck in the evening. Eases the pain of missing live music.

Rest In Peace Charlie D....awesome man and fiddle player. Damn COVID cost me a last show. Guess I had to settle for your last Volunteer Jam. At least the Braves are on TV tonight. The new Jason Isbell release Reunions is very good.
