Vangelis is a talented composer who can write to all sorts of moods. His score for Blade Runner set a dark and mysterious vibe for that film noir crime drama that I think would mesh brilliantly here.

Vangelis and Scorsese is an odd and highly unlikely pairing is all. We've already hashed this out.

I'm not here to make a movie that's already been made. I could have done Scorsese and DiCaprio, but that would be boring. We've seen those movies already.

It's really not odd or unlikely(if you had a time-machine.) Scorsese has used electronic/prog rock before. After Hours and The Last Temptation of Christ. Also, more classical stuff from Elmer Bernstein in The Age of Innocence and Bringing Out the Dead. Pretty sure The Silence has an electronic/ambient soundtrack but I never got around to watching it.
