I think they are having to compete with so many LA area festivals for talent as well as Alt 98.7 out there which is why is was moved to a place with a smaller capacity. Still surprised they couldn't load more of the mid-tier acts in there like Cage The Elephant, Of Monsters & Men, Grouplove, Walk The Moon, etc.
I remember when Limp Bizkit would be the first billed act, not the last.
They were a last-minute addition today, seems not indicative of their billing order in this case.
Most years you can easily predict and mock Weenie Roast - Linkin Park, Incubus, Bad Religion, and 30STM every single year - but this year's poster almost feels too sad to make fun of.
I mean, if you can stomach Jason Bentley, we have KCRW in the mornings before it flips over to NPR. And I guess 98.7 is the lesser evil compared to KROQ when it comes to "alt rock radio", despite becoming a mouthpiece for iHeartRadio in recent years.
I do wish we had a better 24-hour station.
