What even is this? Are we just going to continue circling the drain of stupidity for eternity?
Honestly, Warren is doing the bare minimum, which is still necessary. The point of order thrown at Pelosi (who genuinely don't think cares enough to impeach this president, which is absolutely needed -- while saying to progressives take a seat and wait your turn to speak...) for the racist condemnation on/off record is the point of the tweet. It may seem stupid, but the public censure of Congress is only a first step in creating a pattern of "unworthiness of the presidency" - and thus Pelosi should persist and actually did have it pass last night pretty late. So yea, it's more about breaking a parlimentary system/rule (Jefferson Handbook, no irony at all) that basically says "you can't say an executive official or your co-legislators are racist or bigoted". So it's horeshit and the point of order is a terrible precedent to maintain.
But ya, we are talking about the bare minimum now.

Pelosi and other Dems started the attacks on them. It's extremely possible that without that sequence of events Trump would have never tweeted what he did(Not that he wouldn't Tweet/say something else racist and worthy of censure). She honestly doesn't deserve any praise in this. It's such peak white feminism to lift her up in this moment as if she's fighting the good fight. Using a phrase Warren made famous no less.
That's what I find so fucking irritating. None of this should have even happened and to re-frame it as Pelosi fighting the good fight is just bullshit and typically Democratic ineptitude. As Emoney pointed out, at best this is a strongly worded letter. Dems are acting like they fucking won something.
It's just a performative cycle. As best I can tell it signifies nothing. Like are we suppose to forget the Pelosi and the establishment were attacking their own after claiming "unity"? I'm not going to.

All valid points. Just still speaking mostly on the fact that we work in a performative system, and a reactionary justice system -- there isn't many laws and rules written to instill rights to people, but rather negating principles. We are in the war right now to determine if this nation can get it's head out of its ass to realize democracy is relevant in all it's stages, including press freedom and openness with TRUTH and not the news cycle we are currently in. We are at war for if all peoples deserve equal rights and a base level of living. I will take Pelosi to task openly for her bullshit, but on this one, she did what she was supposed to do -- though it may not be effectual.
Disliked because my brother lives there as well. He (genuinely Democratic) married into a heavily Republican family. His wife identifies as an R but dislikes Trump. The family, however, foam at the mouth over the guy and swear that Obama had "destroy the nation for years." Whaaaaat fucking reality are these people living in.....
Edit: Knowing a brief history of Gville, I imagine it is on its way to a more progressive future...but maybe not soon enough.

The reality that existed but they as a swath of America believed would be bettered by electing a black President. They just were given ammunition by having Obama do some half measures, and also get railed over the coals by the R's the ENTIRE time even after "saving" said economy. So he did their work, but got called a non-American, white-hating, "socialist???", non-Christian (and yes I believe this shouldn't matter, but that is just the opposite from truth) -- they willfully want to not believe these things.
We are thugs to them. I'm sorry, the youth might be better, but it's a growth process and they hate that the civil rights movement wasn't enough; just like they holler at feminism. It's the same last gasps of white patriarchy unless they win and win and control the narrative. So that's the fight, do you make half measures as the Democratic party to break this system. But it's valid to believe that it's not true and that it's also only weakness.

CNN and their entire payroll is the "worked shoot" I was talking about in one of my earlier post. Zucker and Trump have been buds for a long time. They are just another actor in this reality show.
So much for these assholes saying the problem with immigrants is them coming here illegally.
It helps when he's spreading lies and saying that they are praising Al Qaeda and talking about how great they are. I am just so sad to see how many people are part of this cult/
Cnn is shit. But that's been clear for a while. And there are other examples of them re-using the same right wing trump supporters/local politicians and presenting them as "everyday Trump voters"
