Watch him calling him (the PM) an idiot or something between this and two weeks.
A missed opportunity smh.
I can't. Literally using a black artist as a pawn, who called him an "a-hole" on his last record, for the political interest of stirring up his base against a democratic-socialist country. This is just the typical use of us as pawns, because he knows that there is NO ONE, in that camp that wants his support and that it only will be used as "see I'm not racist". Gross. So fucking gross.
Sweden has a significantly lower crime rate than the US and the highest rate of foreign aide/GDP in the world.there were twice as many murders in St Louis than all of Sweden.
Every time StL or MO comes up in this thread it’s always in a bad light lol

Cardinals explain after mascot Fredbird is photographed with ‘Police lives matter’ sign
It was not a good weekend for the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to losing two of three games to the cross-state rival Royals, the Cardinals got some unwanted attention when a photo of Fredbird, the team’s official mascot, holding a sign that read, “Police lives matter,” spread across the Internet.

I guess anything is possible after Trump but the GOP is just so fucking bad and dumb. How could anyone look at this and be like "Hmmmmm. I'll hear her out. She might have some good ideas."
Also, she apparently got arrested for shoplifting a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff from Target? The law and order party, baby!
thats the one that got busted from stealing like two grand in random shit from target?
LOL I just edited to say that. Which, I really don't care all that much if people shoplift. I'm not for it but it's not the worst of crimes in my mind. Although stealing bunch of useless materialist shit is lame. I think she has DUIs and that is bad.
Anyway, it's just funny how the GOP can't help but demonstrate how full of shit they are.
There is an Herbalife convention happening outside my office building in the Dome. It's at least 90% Hispanic people out there with around half not speaking English. Many are young couples, even some families with small children. It's an absolute disgrace. They're being sold a bag of beans, and most if not damn near all of them are going to lose money if they sign up.

Mayor Pete: How do I prove I'm an ally to the black community?
Voters: Prosecute police officers in South Bend, Indiana, for crimes committed against minorities and take steps to prevent further gentrification of historic black neighborhoods.
Adviser: You're right, we need Lil Nas X.
Sorry, Mayor Pete! The Daily Beast reports that Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana and Democratic presidential candidate, dropped out of a live variety show hosted by BuzzFeed in New York on Thursday after Lil Nas X declined to collaborate with him.
Lil Nas X performed as the headliner of Internet Live, an event that also featured appearances by other internet celebrities, Broadway singers, Jersey Shore stars, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, and more. And BuzzFeed was in talks to include Buttigieg too.
Buttigieg was apparently pitched on the idea of appearing via video to recite the lyrics of Lil Nas X’s smash hit “Old Town Road.” But he decided not to participate after Lil Nas X nixed the idea, saying he didn’t want to be seen as endorsing any particular candidate.

Old Town Road is the biggest song in the world right now in terms of airplay. I agree that this has nothing to do with his politics, but I don't think it's intended to be. I see it as him trying to connect with younger voters. That Lil Nas X is Black might give Pete minor points in the eyes of those interested in identity politics, but it's disingenuous to spin this as if it's at all an effort for him to prove that he's an ally in the Black community.

You're simply using lighter language than bees to say he's trying to appeal to young or Black people. I don't think it's disingenuous.
I think it's more something a cornball would try to do to seem like not a cornball, which is close to what you're saying, but I think the fact that Lil Nas X is a Black gay man escaped none of the campaign staff's minds.

"Trying to prove he's an ally in the Black community" and "trying to appeal to young or Black people" are two similar yet different things. Yes, I'm using different language because I'm saying something different. The overuse of rhetoric is a polarizing agent in our political discourse, and I think it's important to talk about what's actually happening instead of appealing to the emotions of those who think similarly to us. Hence the "lighter" (more accurate, imo) language. Mfs are unnecessarily overdramatic and I don't think it's good for us.

Well, another reason why I don't think he was being disingenuous is because I think he believes what he's saying about what he thinks Pete's motivations are. He can't be disingenuous if that's the case.
I think it's perfectly fair to say what he did and what you're saying is accurate, sure, but I think what bees is getting at is that it's fundamentally a problem with campaigning that performing onstage with Lil Nas X represents your appeal to any voting group, rather than policy. I think that's a fine thing to express and that he was using sarcasm to do so.

is bad rhetorical strategy, at the very least.
You're right, inaccurate would have been a better word for me to use than disingenuous. I agree with bees' overall sentiment but our culture grossly overuses snark and sarcasm as a means of conveying points, and that's to our detriment. It's good to make use of more grounded language.
You can have the last word if you'd like but I feel like my point has been made.

The tweet is hyperbolic but this clip is so good. I wish more politicians would speak this way. It's just common fucking sense but people are so afraid of getting attacked as anti-Isreal they shy away from stating things plainly.
Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to drop in the GOP are hardliners about this to appease lunatic deathcult Christians. But whatever.
Not with this administration. That idea could backfire quickly
Now that's what I call fascism Vol II
What does this even mean? So they are a violent set of "non-fighters" and are somehow gutless while openly fighting a system they see as oppression? Does he understand anything, or is it purposeful, I can't tell anymore -- because the logic set used here is so tortured that my brain hurts. I mean we didn't say the Tea Party (- Ted Cruz) were gutless, they were just brashly ignorant and xenophobia accelerating within the US.
