Do you mean him being a shithead with no plays aside from being a bull in a china shop or the persistent idea that antifa is an organized entity which allows it to be a scapegoat for anything trump doesn't like?

This would make it so much easier for cops to crack down on any kind of protest and tack on charges. Although I'm sure they already have surveillance on whatever they consider "antifa."
Add it to the reasons the "outside agitator" narrative is always a go to. It's much easier for the public to ignore suppressive tactics if it's against some outsider. Cause their not the in-group and surely have no true grievances with this rotten system.
But what people should be concerned with is it will, of course, end up mostly being used against peaceful people. In this current moment, that would be majority African Americans who have every right to be out there raging against the police state that has oppressed them for so long.
Liberals need to keep this shit in mind before they go along with these narratives. "Both extremes are bad" or whatever dumb shit. The actually extremists aren't going to end up being the main people harmed. That's by design.
I speak up because per stats from 2017, Columbus has the highest per capita number of police killings of black people among the fifteen largest cities in the US. Over the last several days, people have been pepper sprayed for sitting in protest. Wooden bullets. Etc.
I have read SFA's posts for years and typically find them informative and astute. But given the timing, and lack of antecedent, I'd hate to have it be taken as mocking the wrong people.
The struggle is real. The time is for solidarity and impeccability.
PS- I have found Unicorn Riot on Youtube to have by far, the best 'person on the street' coverage of the Minneapolis situation. Very hopeful to see the majority of protestors so tuned in. Of course, the later into the night the footage goes, the more it turns into a Bonnaroo late night scenario !
Text isn't always great at getting across emotions... neither is my dyslexic ass. My feelings at the moment where more just being overwhelmed, and somewhat in disbelief, of everything happening at once. That, and the fact that the police seem helpless to control the situation(you love to see it). News of people charging into the Ohio Statehouse being somewhat ignored because of the vast amount of things happening just seemed wild to me.
There was no judgement meant at all. I support the protests 100% My only real concern is how the media/government will spin certain acts but I'm not one to really give a shit if corporations or government buildings go up in flames.

Also, it's sad that I can't even work up the emotion to be surprised that we're not hearing the same chorus of "But US based organizations can't be terrorist organizations!" that you heard out of so many mouths when it was white supremacists people wanted to put the label on.
SupeЯfuЯЯyanimal fully agreed on people getting lumped into whatever category helps facilitate their suppression by authorities. It's the next logical step after lumping all protestors together when only a small percentage were trying to burn shit down.
To answer y'alls comments. I feel like it's only a matter of time until he.. well, gets assasinated. I honestly really think that. He doesn't take action to stop the police brutality, emphasize with the victims or those affected, protesters trying to stand up for their right to be heard and seen. No, his reaction is to brush everyone with the same comb which leads me to believe that he wants cops or atleast the racist ones to think it's okay to assault people because they're protesting (cause well.. everyone who's protesting is considered antifa) and that it will lead to even more violence against PoC. The press is getting slammed and opressed equally as hard despite having their certificates to be 'there' and to report it.
I mean how close is the US to a dictatorship really?

A lot of people have floated this sentiment for awhile and I haven’t really agreed until now. I’d say most of the same amount of people either like him or dislike him. But the like is weakening and the dislike is turning into a hate. With the country in extreme turmoil I would not be shocked if he got assassinated unless he does a hard 180. Something I have little expectation of happening.

He does have a habit of going out of his way to kiss up to law enforcement, judges, military, and right wing nut jobs with guns. His people got the market on weapons and violence.

Right on man. We here in Ohio often suffer from being considered "Hayseed" by folks on the coasts. And while it's true we are a divided ass purple state, there are plenty who have fought their whole lives for real change. And those who have suffered for it. Having only been aware of the deplorable dufusses from Michigan who took the Statehouse by storm last month, I was afraid we were being lumped in with them, rather than the real protest emerging from the cities.
I am from a place called Youngstown, conveniently located eight hours from both NYC and Chicago on Interstate 80, and an hour from Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Home of the first carjacking, the "Youngstown Tune Up", and a former Labor stronghold because of our Steel Town history. We saw things go and never come back before much of the rest of the country. I grew up hearing how butthole backwards and challenged it was. But frankly, as I've aged and watch the rest of the country learn the lessons about industry and the power structure, I feel like we are decades ahead in those lessons. We are no strangers to the struggle. Solidarity used to be an every day word around these parts. And many of us are willing to band together and burn shit down if that's what it takes. Very similar to Flint Michigan.
So I'm glad to hear that was not your intent to lump all of us in with the most ignorant and loud among us, those willing to put a line in the sand over haircuts, and try to call it standing up for civil liberties. Darwin haunts every state occupied by humans.
This is crazy. Truck driver injured and arrested. No protesters injured apparently. For context, this is right at the start of the main bridge crossing the Mississippi by downtown Minneapolis near the Viking Stadium. The old bridge collapsed in 2007 during rush hour.
