The networks that average people don't realize are propaganda are just as dangerous as the Bad Channel, merely in a different way
I think the point people are making is to diversify your media intake; and that there is a false equivalency from the perspective of Fox News agenda and the right vs. what CNN/MSNBC pump out. Let alone a NBC, or local affiliates from other networking groups that are actually a large slice of moderate viewerships eyes.
I had more to say, but I guess it's more relevant to find out which network of journalisms you speak of - because this is vague.
It's fine to say that CNN and MSNBC are not equivalent to Fox. They do not act in exactly the same manner
I do not believe that necessarily makes them less harmful
Most older americans trust these networks implicitly and allow them to subtly shape their political opinions
This is how you get, for example, a critical mass of people thinking that Joe Biden is the only electable candidate, and voting thusly
This is why there is a strong bias towards coverage of the "violent looting" aspect of the recent and ongoing unrest, while twitter catalogs hundreds of instances of state-sanctioned violence that is largely ignored.
Not to even get started with the way our country's various and numerous war crimes are covered (if at all)
e: to put it more succinctly
Fox news is propaganda for the Republican party CNN and MSNBC are propaganda for Capital and the status quo
As to what katyperry said about the right in this country living in its own world, I don't disagree, but I would rephrase:
This country as a whole, including the Democratic party, is so far right that we live in our own reactionary world of school shootings, police oppression, terrible health outcomes and "both sides" are structured to reinforce our way of life and mindset that these things are immutable and we deserve to live like this and it is actually the only way to live that is good and free.

well that's relatively attuned to my paused comment:
"If anything the slant MSNBC is built on is economic and corpartism being essential to the state of government. Creating establishment bias consistently. CNN is a terrible attempt at doing news organizing, as they constantly miss the mark of both journalism and entertainment; often times inflaming issues to create ratings. But when people starting let FOX News eat their brains it seems even more toxic because it uses confirmation bias of the assessment of the world the viewer wants, which then drives further into whatever narrative is on the table. Let alone the long standing racism, sexism, -phobia-centric design of the network. "

Relevant example:
I looked into this a little bit, and it seemed kind of like an administrative issue to me. Unless I missed the point of the ruling (Sotomayor and Kagan opposed) said that the government could deport or deny individuals who failed to pass an initial screening. Obviously this administration and probably future other ones would push it to the limit, but I’m not sure whether or not the ruling is correct. Say you show up as a murderer or whatever and we have that information (right or wrong), it seems logical to be able to decide to ban that ass right then and there. If I’m missing the point or only have part of it, let me know.
Edit to say I read a couple more articles and Alito seems to be saying that Congress has the power to pass laws to regulate how this would play out. Again, this administration puts children in cages, so no doubt they'll take a very loose interpretation and do whatever tf they want thereby probably forcing people to find lawyers which is probably unfortunate since you might not have much if you're as desperate as many refugees are.
Executive Order reform is needed, not that I know what that would look like. All modern presidents abuse it, and yet I highly doubt either party would want to make changes because they like the ability when in power.
Also, yesterday the Senate officially confirmed the 200th Trump ulta conservative judge! Geaux USA!
This might be the worst and longest lasting legacy of the Trump era. You can undo a lot of policy eventually, but you can't get rid of judges that easily.
Either that or making racism socially acceptable again and promoting right wing terrorism.
It's like, we have President Biden and Speaker Pelosi and SML Schumer - congrats on being 6/10 on the terribleness scale instead of 9/10. You still suck at 6.
The governor of Ohio, who started his term by implementing a heartbeat bill, currently has a higher approval rating among Democrats (80%) than Republicans

Maybe he'll order "my body, my choice" to be painted on a street in Columbus and we can all feel good again.
Does anyone have a read on the administration’s motives for filing that brief with the Supreme Court to fully invalidate Obamacare? I haven’t really read or seen much around the web on it other than it’s a shitty move in the middle of the pandemic. The only things I can think of is either a calculation they think will rile people up to vote because they finally got rid of Obamacare or if they would try some low budget knight in shining armor shit with some temporary plan and a promise for healthcare so great people haven’t even though of half the benefits yet. Idk. It is a puzzling move. Plus you know they do everything unprepared and on the fly and aren’t that creative.

I saw some speculating that this is to give the SCOTUS an easy win against Trump so that they will vote for him on something worse. But that seems like a dumb move.

Maybe it's because more people are using it than ever before so it's going to cost their friends some money? Or maybe they meant to do it months ago and just forgot to turn in the document. I dunno. It's the Trump administration. Just picture the dumbest, cruelest reason it could be and there's your answer.

Jim Jordan is a travesty himself. Politico is running a story today about Trump privately admitting to his inner circle that he's losing. Understanding how much he loathes being thought of as a loser, I don't think there's any bar too low or stunt too far that he won't try. Again, threatening to quit NATO for a photo-op is apparently at least as far as he has been willing to go. There's only 4 months, and the more desperate they get, the more extreme shit they are likely to try. CNN had a story earlier today about him re-tweeting a video which included a white supremacist (great people on all sides) chanting white power while riding on his golf cart with a Trump flag flying. I didn't watch that video, but I hope someone finds that guy in The Villages and beats his ass down.
I went to the The Villages a bunch of times when I was younger. My mom's parents lived down there for a number of years. My grandmother passed away in 2009, my grandfather is hanging on somewhere in that area still.
When I was younger, you just see the pools and game courts and get to drive golf carts down the street and its all fun.
And then I learned a lot of the people down there are old cranks. Huge MAGA population in that area. Starting with Morse, the founder of the community, who was very conservative. Gave a bunch of money to Republicans. And the community media there was created with a far right slant.
Oh, apparently it does/did have one of the highest STD rates in the country.
