People on social media are really upset this fest doesn't have free water. I know it sucks but I went before and didn't have free water and was fine. What are everyone's thoughts?
Not providing free water while also prohibiting people from bringing their own is pretty unacceptable.

I feel like some of these people commenting online, not necessarily here but more in general, didn't do an ounce of research before buying tickets to this thing.

This is exactly how I feel too. There's posts on the reddit asking about sneaking in nitrous crackers and bringing totems, in addition to all the bitching about how late this fest goes. I think after a bunch of cancelations, people are just desperate to party and are trying to make this festival something it's not.

dont worry its not like people drink alcohol or take any substances which natually cause dehydration and overheating when they're partying all night long, who needs water stations really
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
you're a smart cookie--im not worried about you, or others here... but you and i both know there will be folks NOT watching out for that until it's too late, and they can't just go fill up in a bathroom or grab h20 from a refill station. they might need to wait in a long ass line where anyone who wants alc OR non alc drinks has to wait.
i just get really pissed off at fests that do this. pointblank.

It’s not so hard to bring $20 a day for water. There’s enough bars that lines won’t be insane and if they are then they usually pivot to satellite bars with only coolers

Why create a safe environment when you can get that sweet vc backed overpriced canned water sponsorship money instead?

I been to every iii points since 2015, grateful for the fest being in Miami, but it's clear that the fest is more occupied with making money than the well-being of its guests. It's not hard to implement water stations.... The one shit water fountain in the main frame building barley worked and the fest made no effort to improve the situation in the years I have attended. Why would they when they make $20+ per person per day :/

A big part of the issue is that when you really *need* water it’s when you’re gonna have the most trouble/reluctance interacting with another human to buy it
i’ve been to 3 different fests, osheaga, boston calling, and gov ball. all had water stations. iii points has zero excuse, especially considering they dont even let people bring their own water when the former 3 i mentioned did. this is a clear moneygrubbing move that’s hopefully going to bite them in the ass when people who faint end up suing

I've been to almost every Boston Calling and the entire time it was at city hall they did NOT have water stations. Water stations at BC are a new thing.
It's absolutely unacceptable for any festival not to offer water filling stations and especially one that goes so late into the night- morning. Glad I took a refund for this back in the spring.

The "outrage" is unwarranted. Is it shitty they wanna profit on water? Hell yeah. But let's not act like the other festivals with free water stations are super expedited. I've forgone the free water line at other tests because it was so long and would rather get it at the bar quicker.

Honestly it sounds like a lot of people WANT people to faint and have a bad time.
Water should be free at any festival. Period. Takes one to have some guts to actually do it instead following the rest of pack and offering it at insane prices at the bars. You could even bump up the prices of drinks to compensate if it would be a financial thing (which I'm sure it isn't).

Sure water refill lines can be long at fests and I've opted to just buy it from the bar, but that doesn't change the fact that it should be an option for people

The outrageous part is people defending it. Sucks that the festival doesn’t have free water in the first place, but I’m pretty numb to that shit at this point

I'm agreeing. I'm saying more in response to those raging that they're gonna pass out to the fact there is no refill stations. If your at the point that you're about to pass out, you've already made some bad decisions and a water refill station isn't going to immediately help you.

For real. Be an adult with your drugs and you'll be fine.
I’ve always pushed for $2 or $3 max for water. Feel like they’d make more sales and more revenue with lowered price water. Coachella has $2 water and I would literally drink one every hour.
