Someone on the booking team must be a huge fan of The Strokes I guess. They're an odd fit to begin with, even more know they're their most expensive act ever. I hope it pays off for them.
The Strokes: $800,000 Robyn / SZA: $600,000 Tyler, The Creator: $500,000 A$AP Rocky: $350,000 Erykah Badu: $175,000 Wu-Tang Clan / Disclosure / James Blake / Gorillaz / LCD Soundsystem: $150,000 Beach House: $120,000 The Internet: $80,000 Kaytranada / Herbie Hancock / M83: $75,000 Nicolas Jaar: $50,000
I was thinking the other day that Blake is probably pretty wealthy. I wouldn't have thought he'd make as much per show as Wu/Disclosure/Gorillaz/LCD though.

I imagine it’s more for him overseas as well. I really like seeing what they potentially make just to get an idea of why and how they get booked from festival to festival.
100 Gecs have to be one of the weirdest and most acoustically offensive music acts I've ever seen, but I also feel like I at least have to walk by.
Yeah idk what the hell 100 Gecs is. There is music I don’t like but can understand why others do but that is just objectively bad music
I guess I’m sympathetic just because I’ve heard the same thing about death grips and other stuff I like that’s abrasive. I also don’t get it, but I understand a lot of people do so I get booking them.
I don't know what it is but something about 100 gecs is just so charming and fun to me. I know its objectively bad but I love it personally. definitely a love it or hate it kinda thing.

Well I mean yea, when your top line is Tyler, ASAP, and SZA, of course the crowd is going to give The Internet more attention. Just saying in general I dont see how they could demand a high price.

Julie I noticed it said $99 for one day only, will you be selling them for $99 all day tomorrow, or is there a certain amount at $99 that could run out before EOD tomorrow?
Either way, I'll be on it at 10am, just wondering for my less prepared friends will still have a chance

I'm going to be pulling the trigger on a ticket for III points this year. I've wanted to go for years, but Oct was tough for me with so many other festivals (Hula, EDCO, etc) in the fall. Last year when the moved it to Feb I was all in and bought a presale ticket - and it was the first year the lineup did nothing for me (ended up selling tix and going to Brainquility). This lineup is a 180. Totally into this. I had originally planned to go to STS9's Hotel Nowhere in Orlando that weekend, which I was really stoked about- but I can't miss this festival. I've been DYING to see Two Fingers. And I've never gotten to see Wu Tang or the Strokes before. Lots of great stuff in this lineup. Too good to pass up at $99. Finally going to make it to III points!
