Oasis:
The band played two shows with an audience of 125,000 per night. Over 2.6 million people applied for tickets for the shows, making it the largest ever demand for concert tickets in British history.

What are you comparing it to to say that it's not close?
I mean, I was just stating an opinion before that historically the Bee Gees were a bigger act than Oasis but now you're making me want to do research and crap.

Well, you're right that I don't know what the Bee Gees' biggest shows were and I'm simply assuming they're not anywhere near the biggest in British or American history.

I'll concede that. I also suspect that the Beatles never played to a crowd that size but would rank them over Oasis.
On a different track, Bee Gees have sold between 120 million albums (the lowest estimate I could find) and 220 million (the highest) while as far as I can tell Oasis sold in the range of 60-70 million.
