tbf I think every venue’s doing that for some reason; Thalia and LH/ST did the same and I’ll bet Empty Bottle does the same tomorrow.

Its bad enough that Spotify sends out a password at 10am sharp now, but local venues being secretive is pushing it. Thought they wanted to sell tickets to the right people.
Not really. They announced the “sell out” the week before the festival in 2019. Which is normal to do that close to the festival. We are still weeks away right now. But hey glad they were able to sell it out. Just wonder why they skipped the tier so early this time around.
Maybe single day tickets are selling better than 4 days at this point so they chose to move the capacity from the remaining 4 days over to single days.

I meant that they announced the "sell out" in 2019, but then you could immediately go to the official resale page and buy the passes at the same price they were previously listed on the main page, so they could say the fest is "sold out".
Well whatever they did in 2019 it worked since the festival felt just as crowded if not more so than any other year.
I wasn't there, but I have no doubt it still felt full, and that they were close to full capacity. 95k people in Grant Park wouldn't feel any different than 100k.
Those Tao shows are onsale now in case anyone here is interested in dropping a lot of money to see Marshmello. (They also have one more TBA show fwiw).
