Pretty crazy. I remember as a kid watching his slow progression from rapper/manager guy who took over the spotlight and then worked his way to mainstream acceptance, to the point that your grandma knew who Diddy was and found him charming. I'm sure the details of this whole thing are pretty nasty

The Mike Tyson thing is wild. He is more popular than ever now because of the Hangover and his ditch weed company. I guess if your crimes were exposed before 2017 you can't get re-cancelled (and I guess he did pay some dues, but the sentence should have been longer)

It's been a thing for a while. Republicans celebrate him as a hero of white supremacy finding America, plus opposing cancel culture in general.
Then again, I live in the state with the highest percentage of Italian Americans. So, there's another layer where it's defending "their guy", the Italian American icon.
