People are itching to take Harry Styles down a peg, it feels like.
I mean a fair question is does Harry get the role if he isnt Olivia's partner and Shia Labuff wasnt a gigantic shitbag that had Florence uncomfortable from the get go before the change? The reviews are mixed so far and pretty much lean Pugh and Pine are great and Harry is solid but dont expect much oscar attention apart from maybe costume and cinematography at best. The Harry stans arent going to care how good the film is, they just want 2 hours of staring at him on the screen and going down on Florence. This keeps snowballing and seems to be the only way the movie would be getting any attention. Florence pretty much wanting zero part in all this just screams red flags.

how is that a fair question? hmmm if shia didn't get fired, I wonder if Harry would have even gotten the part??

From what I've gathered, they started dating after the film started production. Meaning, like how many hollywood relationships start, once they started working together and interacting daily they then started dating.
The question is whether she had already left Jason Sudeikis by the time their on-set PDA had started. People are mostly saying she hadn't, judging mostly by Florence Pugh's coldness toward Olivia and the film in general.
Is it weird for a director to hire someone they're dating? Can't the director hire whoever they want?
depends on the situation, really. people are messy. but generally if the related party in question is good for the role and it doesn't negatively impact the production i don't care.

I mean, I know that some actors get preferential treatment and don't have to do casting calls depending on roles, who the producers/directors are. But if it was just like a this person isn't working out, let's use my boyfriend instead, then it is a bit sketch. Not that it doesn't happen obviously. Money talks a lot of times and directors and producers ultimately have final say about who is in what roles.
I'm joking. I don't care. But the half plus seven rule is, idk, weird on its own.
I don't think I even understand this term. Half of what?
Basically, since she's 38, she can date someone who is 38/2 = 19+7 = 26.
I'm not sure where it originates but I remember Elijah Muhammad saying it in Malcolm X and ever since then feeling like "ehhh maybe that shouldn't be taken as gospel". I'm pretty sure it traditionally took for granted that the man is the older party.

celebrity and the ways celebrities are promoted and the effect it has on our minds is so interesting. like harry styles, i hear about harry styles all the time. i don't know any harry styles songs, i think i listened to a bit of that new album and it was fine. i liked the cover i remember that. i think maybe he hosted SNL or performed on it but i don't really remember.
but for some reason when i hear the name "harry styles" my mind is like "yeah i like harry styles, harry styles is good." but the truth is i don't know shit about harry styles. i just know he's super famous and there are vibes.

Huh. I thought for sure there was some peer-reviewed research to back it up.
I'm speaking to the Nation of Islam of it all more than the rule's veracity.
But there has been at least one study lol
A 2000 study found that the rule was fairly accurate at predicting the minimum age of a woman that a man would marry or date. However, the rule was not found to be predictive of the minimum age of a man that a woman would marry or date, nor (by reversing the formula) of the maximum age that either sex would marry or date.
She's 38, and he's 28. This relationship passes the universally-accepted "half plus 7" rule.
I mean Harry obviously has all the power of the Directioners at his disposal. He can cancel anyone at any moment with a single tweet. Although Chris Pine will see none of that cause he has a flip phone.

I'm not actually concerned about whether Olivia Wilde being ten years older than Harry Styles is problematic. I generally don't care if both parties are 18+. Didn't care about Pugh and Zach Braff either. Only care about Leo as far as I think it's funny. Seems kinda scummy I guess but he's allowed to do that.
I'm going to need help here. Who the fuck is this a photo of and why should I care?
just a meme template where somebody is explaining something to someone who doesn't care, loudly and at some kind of party function. it's the newer version of this:
I'm going to need help here. Who the fuck is this a photo of and why should I care?
ITS A POPULAR NEW MEME. KIND OF A GENDER-REVERSED TWIST ON ANOTHER MEME WHERE A GUY IS MANSPLAINING TO HIS GIRLFRIEND AT AN ASTROS GAME AND SHE HAS A BLANK EXPRESSION ON HER FACE. ITS USUALLY USED IN CONTEXTS WHERE SOMEONE IS EXPLAINING SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW OR FOREIGN TO SOMEONE WHO PROBABLY DOESNT REALLY CARE
I think the funniest thing is Wilde getting don't think you're better than you are towards Florence. Wilde is a very mid actress who's best roles were tv guest spots a decade ago, but she's been in some just trash movies, Cowboys and Aliens, Burt Wonderstone, Tron legacy, with Vinyl being her last big role and that was just also awful.
it's very journeymen role player trying to big dog someone younger who's obviously a league ahead
