Has anyone seen or posted about this? COS is reporting that The Doobie Brothers are a possibility. Not saying I trust them just thought it was interesting.

Damn, Weyes Blood and Black Midi would've made for some of the best Thursday bookings in years. Was really hoping for both of them. Bummer.
None of these misses are totally surprising but all of them together has me worried about the direction the lineup is gonna take
Im sure the lineup will still be good, but they just never get THE good bookings that people are craving. They will book other stuff that is good as a substitute, but you’ll have to do a little more talking yourself into these acts instead of just getting immediate excitement upon seeing the lineup.
I'll be fine with no Black Midi if they still get at least one of Idles, Shame, or Fontaines DC
Weyes Blood is tougher to replace for me, but I guess the same itch could be scratched with some combo of Lana/Angel/SVE/Big Thief/Caroline Polachek/Julia Jacklin

They should absolutely be listed as out. They have a Nashville date on 6/17.
Does that ABSOLUTELY rule them out though? I feel like radius clause might not be so serious when it’s less than a week away. Seems like they could play bonnaroo (knowing it’s further reaching than just those in Nashville) and then play Nashville, knowing that all of Nashville wouldn’t be at bonnaroo. Idk just a thought.
Idles is opening for The National overseas on the 14th of June.
OOOF big hit
IDLES was everywhere last year. i’m fine with sacrificing them if it means we’re headed back to the old days of Roo not being a carbon coby of every other fest from the Live Nation Ticketbastard™️ catalogue. if there’s punk, there’s punk and i’m there. same with metal etc.
I heard a rumor that King Gizz is playing at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Tullahoma, TN the month before Roo.
You can do better than this
i dunno i kind of like the idea of roo missing out on king gizz because they are playing a buffalo wild wings one town over. also kind of made me want to see king gizz perform live at a buffalo wild wings.

I had to check and make sure Tullahoma is big enough to have a B-Dubs.

the b-dubs in tullahoma has the honor of being the 12th best bar near Manchester, TN according to yelp.

Also, Brooklyn Bowl just announced a Nashville expansion including a full initial show lineup. Angel Olsen, Real Estate, Royal Blood, Phosphorescent, Car Seat Headrest, more probably moved to out. here's the full venue schedule.
Angel Olsen is a real loss. Phosphorescent, The Hold Steady, St. Paul & The Broken Bones would've all been great to see back as well.
Hope we can still get Liz Cooper & The Stampede. They haven't played Roo yet have they?
Don't think they have, that + Futurebirds would be clutch to keep.
Billboard also ran an article saying that "Shapiro is planning to announce some big underplay shows from major indie Nashville headliners in the coming weeks," so maybe they'll save us from Cage the Elephant

I just don’t see every single one of these bands being out, esp Angel Olsen, Twiddle, Liz Cooper, Rayland Baxter, Stringdusters, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Real Estate... really curious to see the Roo lineup now. not sure if Live Nation having a stake in this thing makes it better or worse for crossover to Roo but if it’s worse they’re eating into too much of their own cake imo

Given that it'd be an underplay I don't know that it'd count them out for Bonnaroo
I could also see that being The Black Keys/The Raconteurs
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
