Obviously there's some crap, but there are a bunch of excellent bands on that lineup. If I could make it work, I'd be in for all 4 days. 8 of the top 12 being solid is an incredible hit rate for this type of festival, and there are some definite gems in the undercard
Fucking Saturday would make me dump my MCR solo show ticket. Now Im wondering if their tour openers are on this bill now. God knows how they got The Mysterines when they havent even toured the u.s yet, theyre grungy shoegaze. And Band Maid will fun.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I feel like Wimmer's lineups are getting better lately lol
There seemed to be a consensus that because a few certain mainstay headliners are not doing the rounds this year that they had to venture a bit. For the better.

But these are noticeably bigger/deeper than they've done in the past. I can't see them booking RHCP during a stadium tour just because Avenged Sevenfold is recording a new album.
that weekend is boogers but thursday and friday would be great
Agree it does get worse the further along it gets. Still a handful of good acts sat/sun.
Friday is probably the best day for me though Thursday's NIN, The D and Ministry is great. Sunday isn't bad with Alice in Chains, The Pretty Reckless, Bronson, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion and Joy Formidable except that's midcard. But I wouldn't care about RHCP or Incubus. Saturday is eh though. I fucking hate Kiss and don't really know what a modern Alice Cooper show would be except he probably doesn't kill himself multiple times on stage anymore. I don't care about Rob Zombie. Chevelle, Jerry Cantrell, Body Count and Sevendust would be good to see. I'm surprised Ill Nino from the nu metal era is still around.
Tell that motherfucker Teddy to bring back Bourbon and Beyond damnit.
We went to LTL in 2015 and this might get us back. Friday there is literally not one band I would go out of my way to see though. My significant other had a ton on here she likes. I actually like Sunday and have not seen the Chili Peppers before somehow.

Friday's second and third lines are unbelievably stacked, idk where you're coming from with that lol

Problem with pushing these things to 4 days is Danny is gonna run out of headliners real fast. There can't be more than like twenty bands on that level, right?
Kiss Slipknot None Inch Nails Red Hot Chili Peppers Korn Guns n Roses Foo Fighters Metallica My Chemical Romance Iron Maiden Green Day Tool Rage Against The Machine System of a Down Avenged Sevenfold Disturbed Rammstein AC/DC Aerosmith Slayer reunion? Idk

Muse and Qotsa are definitely in this orbit already, but you can keep pushing out the boundaries just because the major fests keep booking less and less guitar rock. If they are booking Foo Fighters and RHCP it's not a drastic leap to The Strokes and Jack White.

Also, in five years, 1/3rd of bands will be retired or near it. Everyone thought Ozzy would keep going but he looks done for. Will these fests ever book someone who is actually fairly new? Maybe Bring Me the Horizon starts taking the top spot? But I think they are near their peak as is.

I’m a jam band guy. Lol. I don’t do much of the hard rock/metal so the other days are much more up my alley.
