Well theyve done Download befoer in the Uk so its not as if theyre not familiar with playing to butt rockers. Altough a show they are likely to do around that is enticing to attend.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I don’t know how I feel about Pantera without Dime and Vinnie.
my thoughts exactly. but i never saw pantera live and would love to hear some of these songs. pantera has been such a huge part of my life. "suicide note, pt 2" from Official Live 101: Proof is the hardest i've ever heard a thrash metal band go. completely unhinged.
You know something else i’ve said, look here look here, you know something i’ve said all along? I’m sure maybe y’all read somewhere, you know, i speak my mind and talk about some shit, i fuckin tell it like it is, i don’t know if y’all ever heard about how the philosophy of pantera goes, we don’t give a flying fuck about the others, all we care about is our own. And all i’ve been sayin for fucking years to all these stupid fuckin experts, you know what the experts are telling you? That heavy music is dead and fuckin gone? Well y’all do me a favor, y’all do me a favor, y’all turn around and look at each other right now, y’all turn around and look at all these motherfucking people here. And obviously somebody’s wanted to hear something these experts are telling you you aren’t supposed to be hearing. Alright well, check this out. Our hit, this is our hit, this next songs our hit, you won’t hear this next song anywhere but in your goddamn car, at home, or on this fucking stage, and thats the way it should be, ladies and gentlemen vinnie paul on the drums…
and vinnie doesn't get enough credit for completely changing metal drumming forever. everybody wanted their drums to sound exactly like vinnie's. you can really listen to the drums on any metal studio album and tell if they are pre or post vinnie.

Yea I’m conflicted because I never saw them. I saw Phil do a Pantera set with his band and it was good. The only reason to do sthis is more money. I wish he would just keep doing that. Using the Pantera name seems wrong.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Honest question because I'm out of the loop, but do people actually give a shit about this? It feels like a glorified tribute act ie Sublime with Rome.

Enough people will that itll warrant buying a ticket. All its gonna take is for the first show to go decently well.

Wonder if Sonic Temple is ever coming back. They did the whole “see you in 2022!” when they pulled the plug on 2021, but they’ve been totally silent since then. DWP as a whole seems to be plenty healthy and ROTR/ST was a huge moneymaker for 12 years, so I wonder what the issue is.

I just saw Evanescence in concert last night at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, they were so good! Amy Lee is such a great singer, even this long into her career
