"-You cannot make any stipulations as to genre, mood, sounds like x artist, etc."
I guess it is right there in the thread rules. Idgaf personally, but I'm not one to rock the boat either! No response for those kind of posts in the future
This was, indeed, heat. I don't know that I've ever listened to old Common and I really enjoyed it. Didn't feel like he was trying to do too much (unlike his recent stuff)
Give me an album with absolutely zero stipulation as to genre! Honestly, multiple would be appreciated, I'm stuck in the library for the next few days. Law school finals are the worst.

If you have interest in going down the rabbit hole, his albums Resurrection, One Day it Will All Make Sense, and Like Water For Chocolate make up the Big 4 Common albums along with Be. This isn't a rec for you right now though. No pressure!

i listened to these a lot when i was writing my dissertation.
these have all been really helpful the past week, thanks y'all - will come back and write detailed thoughts once I finish this last paper and have a celebratory beer or six
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Thanks for these! I’d never listened to The War on Drugs before, and I really enjoyed that! I’ll be giving it another listen sometime. I was familiar with Khruangbin, and I enjoy them as well. I was driving a few hours today, and these were great for passing that time.
