I’ve been to outside lands 6 times and haven’t even thought about it once this rumor season. Really has fallen from its glory days. Nice that they can still throw out the occasional curveball (Paul Simon), but all in all, the lineups have seriously gone downhill. Guess others feel the same way, seeing as the thread is just now being created.

I haven't been to OSL in a few years, but as long as they don't deliver another dud like 2019, the timing is right for me to return. One of my concert-going friends will be doing a study in SF at the time. I do agree that this festival isn't quite what it once was, with price surging and high school audiences having a lot to do with that, but there are some things like the food, the non-music stage offerings, and not having to fry in the heat that still make OSL stand out for me.
The Cure seem to be on everyone's wishlist as a legacy act for this festival every year, and for some reason, it never happens. Tame is a good start, but they were everywhere this year and are gonna be everywhere next year. The Cure would get me up there.
I think it would be a ton of fun if I didn’t have to sell my organs on the black market to attend
agreed. the only time I went was 2012 and that was only because I had a place to stay. it's a 2-3 thousand dollar trip if you don't have a friend living there.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I’ll reiterate this, but this seems like the most logical. Foo and Kendrick are playing Osheaga and likely Lolla as well, so they’ll be in the country. Tame is wrapping up their CA run this week and they’ll be on the west coast during this.

Foos as legacy act would be weak sauce. Agreed that Tame and Kendrick are logical (that Reddit page is very insistent that Tame's show this week rules them out, gonna be funny when they're wrong, I mean the damn tour ends in Portland right beforehand, and this week's random one-off California leg is pretty conveniently timed before a festival sale).

Would you be satisfied with The Cure? I’d love to see them. Robert said they would be touring the States this year, but there hasn’t any indication that they are playing U.S. festivals this year.

Hell yeah I'd be satisfied with The Cure, I can't believe they've never played this. I don't think that's likely to change this year, but we'll see.
Tame Impala have been forced to postpone their show this week due to SF's ban on large events, so that should make this very interesting...

Always been curious about going to this, I have lots of family in Livermore so I can always just BART up to the city. How much do tickets normally run, and how is the festival itself? Golden Gate Park is really pretty so itd be dope to be there again
Nvm, Im dumb and couldve just checked the site. Is the fest well run and such though?
The production is pretty minimal, but the fest is a lot of fun. Some of the best food and beer I’ve ever had at a fest. Weedlands is a pretty neat new addition, as well.

Yeah it's well run. Crowds are usually pretty chill, can run a little old at points if you care about that. Lots of food options, and the park is super pretty at night with all the lights on and such.

Probably not with all these clues. Their follow up post was saying the events ranged in size. Lolla usually comes after OSL does its thing and they could easily be taking other steps right now. There arent many other fests that drop their line ups in march from the domestic side. HARD Summer is after Coachella and then EDC, then ACL and Riot Fest in May. Primavera LA is the one outlier at the moment.
