Understood, but I'm pondering the production transport. Not that the Foo's have lasers or many props. Right?
Doesnt matter. Backline rentals are there to take care of things. Not like there wont be LED screens and plenty of lights already on hand to make it happen. You just have to fly the band and crew with some select gear to both places.

Bottlerock consistently puts out lineups that would be enjoyable for both young millennials and their parents. Seems like a wholesome wine-drunk good time.
Also Future Islands and James Murphy got nice billing in this.

This will be rad, for sure!
This year, Turkuaz will play select & special performances paying tribute to the Talking Heads (official) album 'Remain In Light' as it turns 40. The set will contain music from the album as well as that classic era of the Talking Heads' catalogue. Joining the band for the ride will be original member Jerry Harrison and touring band member Adrian Belew.

do we think that G-Eazy into Stevie, Miley into GnR, and Megan into Foos is likely, or does their billing put Miley, G-Eazy, and Megan as second stage closers? do the subs typically get main stage?
Brandi Carlile into Stevie, RTJ into GnR, and Cage into Foos makes a lot more sense to close out the main each day.
it's my first bottlerock so I don't know how stage placement based on poster placement typically works here.

after checking previous set times, it looks like the first sub almost always closes the second stage.
it probably won't really be painful to most, but that GnR versus Miley partial conflict will be a bummer. I'll probably watch most of Miley and catch the end of GnR.

I've only been once. But yeah, the way you thought made more sense was the way they did it. The daily #2 plays opposite the headliner, usually with a third stage too, counterprogramming. Noting about this festival is economical, but I'm excited to go back.

I was pretty tempted to pick up passes to the Jimmy Eat World/Perfume Genius show but we still don't know all of the arrival times for our group so I can't really commit to it. Sunday seems to have the most conflict potential for me, so it could have been nice to eliminate a couple conflicts.
