The new album from Joyner Lucas, ADHD, finally dropped. Maybe not as great as I was hoping for production-wise, but still pretty dope overall. I know ISIS was released as a single a while back but it's such a bad ass song. And whoever was asking earlier in the thread about newer hip hop artists that have something to offer other than shitty mumble rap, add Joyner to the list. Top tier MC.

I thought ADHD was long and boring at times. There's a few decent tracks, but I was disappointed overall.

The biggest drawback for me was the fact that practically half the album was released beforehand with all the singles. I think I would have liked it a lot more if I heard the album in it's entirety without hearing any of the songs before. That's why I usually try to stay away from hearing singles most times, but ADHD took so long to drop, I went ahead and listened to most of them as they came out.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I feel really terrible for not voting for Jay Electronica, because it's probably the only chance we'll ever get to vote for him, but fuck, this is a masterpiece

I feel like The Necks new album will break my top 20 list at the end of the year, too.
I've basically stopped listening to new music the last two weeks, but maybe I'll catch up on some this week. Waxahatchee and Nicolas Jaar are first on my list, seems like I've missed some other pretty good stuff though

In all fairness, I think a lot of people have. Obviously, numbers are down across the board for music related activities. Even streaming (which makes no sense to me).
There's something to be said about comfortable albums in a time of crisis. You just want sanity in a truly insane time. I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm drinking Tecate while listening to Neil Young on the porch after the kiddos go to bed.

I've been listening to a lot of Forever Favorites music-wise while not as regularly keeping up with new releases (some but not a ton), for the reason you mentioned: comfortable albums in time of crisis.
But not listening to music much at all in general right now?! That's confusing to me.

One of the things I've been doing is trying to teach myself about certain genres. I've always made fun of AOR and now I find myself listening to Kansas and America while playing with Legos. Pretty productive 17 days, this far.
I listen to some new music most days on my laptop, and listen to at least one record a day on my record player (which I post on my instagram story as my record of the day, usually with a fun fact or CORONAVIRUS joke attached)

I imagine a significant amount of people mostly streamed music on their way to work. There are a ton of commuters in the world.

A tier above the rest for me this month. I enjoyed Suf and Nico but replayability factors in a lot for me, and Dua Lipa blows them away in that regard.
