Anybody listen to that podcast regularly enough to speculate who the Tame replacement is that they were referring to? I got the impression that it was an act that hasn't played Bonnaroo before. Foos, maybe?
My first thought was Foo Fighters. But isn't Barry also a big My Morning Jacket guy?
Who isn't? But I don't think that they'd headline Bonnaroo 2021.
To be fair, it did feel like they alluded to bigger acts being more unlikely due to the work it takes to fire up the scale of those tours.
I am all-in on the idea of MMJ benefiting from that and headlining this thing.
if that's the case, I imagine most festivals would just have very similar headliners so a couple acts could do a short run.
Yes. Also important, festivals the size of Bonnaroo are more on the unlikely side of things right now. There’s reason for hope, but even The What guys said they are 50/50 on it happening.
The Tame comment is surprising. With active U.S. dates on the calendar, you’d think it would be a wait and see. It seems they have some insight to say flat-out no.
Oh boy! This is bringing me back. I saw Limp Bizkit at Warped Tour 97. Never heard of them before they hit the stage. They were sandwiched between Sick Of It All and Snapcase. I was obsessed for like a week. Then quickly dropped them. I still love Sick Of It All and Snapcase.
We had Snapcase headline a benefit our college environmental club put on back in 94 or 95. (Local band.)
That’s awesome!!! I saw them 3 years ago in Brooklyn. It had probably been 20 years since I saw them last and they killed. Underrated band in my humble opinion.

Let’s just take this massive star who has been undergoing an enormous cultural reevaluation to correct for how poorly she was treated by the industry and the media and toss her on the second stage after Walk the Moon or whatever
Woodstock 99 was stacked for its time but hasn't aged great.
The Tragically Hip > Kid Rock > Wyclef Jean > Counting Crowes > Dave Matthews Band > Alanis Morisette > Limp Bizkit > Rage Against The Machine > Metallica
Have you heard podcast 99?
In any case, tell me more about the experience of being in the crowd during Limp Bizkit > Rage > Metallica
If Britney gets out of her conservatorship her team has the golden opportunity to launch a massive "she's back" campaign. I imagine it would be pretty cool

I was there myself. Metallica played the night before after Bush. But the stretch of DMB> Alanis> Limp> Korn> Rage was friggin epic!

I haven't heard of it.
The run was exhausting. I'm happy that I wasn't in front of the stage during Bizkit because it looked like chaos.
