Anyone got any info on DJ Mel? They're on the lineup, but not on the website.
I found a Japanese DJ on YouTube named DJ Mel that had a similar sound to Iglooghost, but I'm not sure if it's her or someone else.
DJ Mel is just a standard dj that plays Bonnaroo every year. Usually is the first to play The Other on at least one of the days and does a couple sets in the silent disco. Doesn't really produce any of his own music
I can’t figure this out either. Is it real? Are the just puffing low doses? I’ve guided people through full on DMT trips and they were checked out for 10 minutes. I don’t know where they went, but it wasn’t in the same room as I was. In fact, I want to use it in therapy sessions with people some day and I count on it sending them so far out of their minds that we have something to discuss afterwards. If people can just toke on it and dubbie wubbie all over a dance floor, this is not gonna work.
I feel like this is you telling us that you still want to be there to watch it
You know me, baby. Mama LLL wants to watch over y’all. Give you a hug and a snack after the reckoning of your spirit. Do a lil’ Reiki. Anoint you in some oils and put a few crystals on ya.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
"More acts, including a comedy lineup, will be unveiled in the coming weeks." - CoS
...so is CoS on some bullshit, or will there really be comedy this year?
The one year I actually went, I was all about the comedy tent. But that was 2017 and the lineup left a lot of time to kill. I’d welcome it back, but if it’s a legit comedy lineup, the conflicts are gonna start getting real for me.

Yeah. He’s the (in)house DJ for Bonnaroo. He played Voodoo a few years ago and played a Tom Petty song in tribute. He’s more of just a traditional gonna play records type DJ.
It was hard to narrow down the Lana songs on my playlist haha. I just put the NFR setlist on it... I hope she blesses us with some good Ultraviolence cuts. I need to hear West Coast and Shades of Cool.
Would love either both of those, also the title track and Money Power Glory.
I'm also confused why her sets have only included 4 songs from NFR including the Sublime cover and Bartender but not including Mariner's Apartment Complex
Yeah her setlist really makes no sense to me. Having Bartender as one of the 4 NFR songs is surprising (and disappointing imo) as is, but especially having it as the second song in the set after the title track is just an odd and very slow start to a set.

Zia threw me off because when I searched it, it was this interesting Korean singer with some pretty catchy tunes. Naturally that's the wrong one, and it's just yet another generic EDM person.

Ive seen DJ Quickie Mart too many times, and somehow not yet enough.

As much as I love Lana, she’s really terrible at building setlists.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Do you think Nelly will do Country Grammar in order? I know that's kinda the point, but I feel like he doesn't really care too much and would just do what he feel. If I could time it right could catch Ride Wit Me and E.I.

I just listened to the What Podcast lineup release episode. I can't believe the amount of times I scoffed in disbelief regarding an error they made, an opinion I disagreed with, or a betrayal of common sense.
Vampire Weekend played a great set on the What Stage 2 years ago. They usually make Saturday a lighter day since "they already have you there for the weekend" and it's the least likely day you'd come for a single day ticket. Frank Ocean is a boring headliner booking. If you took Lizzo off the lineup, you wouldn't lose a single ticket sale. Rap shows just don't work well at Bonnaroo. Oysterhead is the only artist on the lineup that takes Bonnaroo back to its roots. They said that Oysterhead was in a "lane" with Glass Animals and Tame Impala. Was passively corrected after. Miley was the stunning booking.
Just off memory. I appreciate their passion for the festival, but man this could use some work.

Preach 🙏🏼 Also when talking about Flogging Molly they referred to them as Boston punk. FM is from Ireland not Boston. I think they were getting them confused with Dropkick Murphy’s.

Lol and they called Sylvan Esso an EDM driven Superjam.

I listened to it as well and it was so bad. Don’t those guys work in radio and the music industry ? They seemed clueless about most things.

I think they were trying to do a “first impressions” things with no research but it’s funny how little they know about some current music
