Ohh shit you just KNOW me and the boys are gonna be moshing when the intricate three-part vocal harmonies drop on their cover of "On The Street Where You Live"
Lizzo is one of the ones who should probably have a band.
I think usually she has a DJ and the Big Girls our there strutting and dancing. Plus other dancers. It’s just a fun be who you are and celebrate that shit show. Maybe she’ll change it up for ‘21?
I hope not. While her orchestral performances are quitegood, Sophia Eris has been her DJ for her entire solo career; it wouldn't be the same without her.

On the off chance somebody needs a VIP ticket, you can currently add them to your cart and purchase at bonnaroo.frontgatetickets.com/?resale=true. Not resale. It's been like that for at least the last hour.
Edit: Not sure if there's only 1 left or if it's just limiting purchase to 1.
I think she's gonna crush and it's gonna be really cathartic for a lot of people. First woman headliner at Roo and a really solid booking of a person who's going to be a star for a long time. She could debut some material. I think it's going to be the main show people talk about from this year.
Still kinda stunned that it took Bonnaroo 20 years to have a woman headline.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I feel like a lot of people only think of Marc Rebillet as the funny robe guy and skip over his actually incredible musical chops, the dude is hella talented
What's everyone's sense of time re: schedule drop? Does it only feel like we have more time between the line-up, onsale, and festival dates than usual, or is that accurate?

Lineup dropped April 1 (or at least that's when I saved the lineup to my phone), so that's 5 months before Labor Day weekend. Usually the lineup comes out in mid-late January, which is 5 months before June.
Schedule usually comes out about a month and a half before the fest, so I'm gonna guess that we get it around mid-July.
5.5/four tet, daphni b2b floating points, avalon emerson 5.12/neil young 5.19/mannequin pussy 5.21/serpentwithfeet 5.25/hozier 6.12-16/bonnaroo 6.28/goose 6.29/goose 9.17/the national + the war on drugs 9.23/sigur ros 9.27-29/making time 10.17/air

I gotta say, I like him more and more, each thing I watch. He really is insanely talented on multiple levels. This stream was next level as far as showing his ability to collaborate and it was just a different Vibe musically with premier in the mix and man did it come off well. I’m loving watching this dude grow and blow up

Hm.
4th of July weekend, or the 5th, which is a Monday. imo.
There’s not really a thread for this. But I just wanted to say R.I.P. MCA. 9 years ago today Adam Yauch passed away #gratitude
I remember exactly where I was.
Ugh!!! Me too. I was doing laundry right before a big trip. I was walking up to my apartment and I could hear my downstairs neighbor blasting Paul’s Boutique. I thought to myself “my neighbor is pretty cool” got to my apartment and my phone was blowing up. All of my friends were texting me about it. I cried while folding my laundry. Where were you?
Should be a lot of LN bleed through to Voodoo which is unfortunate. I’m assuming ACL will share some of the artists too, but I never compared the three to see what they might share. There’s a few shows I’d see every day, so I can’t hate on it completely. Among other acts, Friday has Rufus du Sol, Portugal, Freddie Gibbs and Earthgang. Saturday has Rocky (who you never know how good he’ll be), Megan, Phoebe, King Princess and Big Thief. Sunday has Jamie XX. But what really surprises me most about the lineup is the amount of shit I never heard of. Maybe some of it is good?
I remember trying to get drunk on vodka in the parking lot of opening night of Avengers with Maddog and we were listening to Check Your Head but found out the next day he died.

Yeah there's some good grabs for sure, I just feel like I've seen much better Gov Ball lineups. It doesn't help that it seems noticeably worse than the lineup they had set for last year, while Roo's for example managed to improve on an already great lineup.
