At this point, the only 2 options I'm seeing are a daytime What slot or (hopefully) a LATE LN tent act (2-4). Anything earlier in a tent would be disastrous
Any chance Primus plays The What at 7:30-9:00 then Tool 10:00-12:00?

i'm going with the theory that primus in small white text means they will be in a tent.
i think it's much more likely that Miley or RTJ is in that what pre-HL slot. my vote goes for Miley > Tool because that would be some bonnaroo shit. then Primus LN This.
one other thing, i know Primus has more of a history with Bonnaroo than Slayer, but if Slayer plays a tent, Primus plays a tent.
Speaking of rowdy shows, I think Bonnaroo needs at least one great punk band to play Thursday every year. I guess we have The Regrettes this year? We had a small pit at the Who Stage for them in 2018 so I guess it's possible this year. But if I can mosh and experience one crazy show on the first day, it completely rids any anxiety from me for the rest of the weekend. Best example was in 2014 after seeing Cloud Nothings. Took me a while to find my friends after the show but once I did I ran up and hugged everyone. Mac Demarco and Courtney Barnett in 2015 definitely had their moments. Starting the moshpit with RJ at Bully in 2016 is one of my favorite Bonnaroo memories. Being at The Orwells in 2017 was also a really fun memory (even though they turned out to be scumbags). I think this is a really underrated thing at Bonnaroo and they should really put the effort into giving us at least one rowdy punk/metal/hip hop show on Thursday.

They're almost exactly the same placement on their day as JRAD last year, so I think the LN tent scenario is most likely. That and I'm just wishing it into existence.

You make some very strong points here. Tho last time Primus played it was on The Which. Their name in white does raise concern for me.

They’re going to be LN. I doubt Les would agree to a set less than 90min
As a Miami local and Curry fan, DaBaby will be much more rowdy.
**DaBaby wasn’t very good at Freewater here in August.** I don’t plan on giving him a second chance at Bonnaroo. I’ve seen Denzel 5x and all of the shows were infinitely better and wilder. He sometimes links up with $B when he plays here. I’m not a super big fan of them, but their shows are generally on the wild side.
[
From everything I’ve seen on YT, DaBaby’s sets are never longer than 20 minutes. I really like some of his songs, so I think he’d be worth checking out for that short amount of time. Even if he isn’t anywhere near as good as Denzel.

By all means, If you want to see him go see him. I wouldn’t want to try to talk anyone out of seeing him. He’s a decent rapper. I didn’t like the show that much. Actually none of the 6 people I was with did either though I probably had the least negative opinion on it.

it sucks how some rappers just don’t give a fuck and yet fans don’t care and pay to see them anyway
Who will have the most raucous set of the weekend?
I got 3 contenders: DaBaby, King Gizz, Primus
There no way that Gizz and Denzel Curry aren’t the rosiest sets. And probably Denzel will be more rowdy. But Gizz will have a delightful pit the whole show

^this. I’ve seen some really good rap shows at Roo, but I’ve also seen some terrible ones. And the bad ones aren’t due to a lack of skill, but rather the lack of giving a shit (i.e. Rich Brian, Lil Dicky, Future).
Dude is running around on stage rapping in his socks and underwear. 100% living his best life, and I'm legit jealous. Fuck the chains and cars; I wanna do THAT.

https%3A//soundcloud.com/fiestaville/episode-1-bonnaroo-2020-lineup-drip Here's the podcast of me reacting to the Bonnaroo lineup in slow motion/real time/over the course of almost three hours, knowing about half the bands, and liking about half of those.
Actually, ended up being a pretty nice lineup. A "Bonnaroo lineup," even.
Thanks a bunch to Dad Dog for saying words along with me and actually knowing what some of the more obscure acts were when I would have probably just had a panic attack otherwise.
