I have this feeling that Friday is going to have an insane amount of conflicts for a lot of people. Meanwhile, Sunday seems like a wasteland.
Sunday's usually a wasteland; I pretty much come to expect it at this point. But this year's got Tame, VW, Young Thug, Pinegrove...enough to keep me satisfied at the end of the weekend. Maybe Orville Peck too but I'm on the fence about him.

Femi Kuti, Bill Frisell and Makaya McCraven are all on Sunday, and I gotta assume they'll be back-to-back-to-back in the same tent. Catch me there all afternoon

Eh there's definitely a bunch of garbage on Sunday but it also has some of my most anticipated sets. The whole top 3, Pinegrove, Orville Peck, Makaya McCraven, and Bill Frisell are all pretty big for me.
Leon Bridges, Femi Kuti, and Greensky Bluegrass would be solid sets to check out too. I've also been enjoying Cuco a bit.
Depends on your taste I suppose, but by the time Sunday rolls around at Roo I always appreciate the more relaxed Sunday lineups

i think this is generally accurate.
on friday i feel sure that primus and/or turkuaz will conflict with somebody else i want to see. probably somehow with RTJ or Miley Cyrus.
saturday denzel curry, billy strings, JID, kevin gates all likely to have conflicts.
basically since there are so many 1st and 2nd line names i want to see, and since they will likely be at What/Which (or the other in case of tipper), pretty much any of the names on lines 3-5 have the potential to conflict.
i wouldn't call sunday a wasteland, still artists i want to see, it just looks a little cleaner/less conflicty from top to bottom, with bill frissell and femi kuti early in the day (i doubt they conflict them), after that it's pretty much all 1st and 2nd line names i want to see, so i'd probably be some bouncing between what and which with minimal overlap.
edit: realized orville is on sunday, he'll likely conflict with somebody on what/which.
Maybe Orville Peck too but I'm on the fence about him.
Come on, man. You are this close to making a good life choice here.
Lol I was excited to check him out because of his hype on here, and was rather disappointed to find out that he's slow warbly country music. It's good for what it is, but if you're listening to slow warbly country and thinking "this is for Jaz", then that's on you homie. I'll probably be there because my friends will be there but I won't feel bad if I miss him.
As a Miami local and Curry fan, DaBaby will be much more rowdy.
DaBaby wasn’t very good at Freewater here in August. I don’t plan on giving him a second chance at Bonnaroo. I’ve seen Denzel 5x and all of the shows were infinitely better and wilder. He sometimes links up with $B when he plays here. I’m not a super big fan of them, but their shows are generally on the wild side.

I'm interested in the rowdiest crowd too. In the past you could pinpoint the lineup to pulling a certain type of crowd, whether it skewed more jam, hip hop, electronic, etc, but I don't think this lineup leans too hard in any one direction (save Bassnectar/Tipper) and could be considered pop skewed if anything.
I'm interested to see if it tones down the rowdiness a bit, or if Tool being on the lineup MAYBE turns it up a little, with very little outlet for their fans to get crazy otherwise

I'm going with Yaeji as darkhouse wildest crowd. She throws down and the crowd loves it, reminds me of Amelia from Sylvan Esso dancing, but she gets even grimier, which is hilarious because she's tiny and looks like she's 12. She deserves a late night but I don't know if she'll get one
At this point, the only 2 options I'm seeing are a daytime What slot or (hopefully) a LATE LN tent act (2-4). Anything earlier in a tent would be disastrous

I don't feel like Bassnectar/Tipper leans in any of the same directions, but I agree that the diversity of the lineup doesn't really skew the fest with any certain or specific attitude. It's probably going to be a year where each individual can make it whatever all we want it to be. I think that's a plus for the 2020 lineup in all honesty and speaks to the diversity and general approval by the fans.

Any chance Primus plays The What at 7:30-9:00 then Tool 10:00-12:00?
