I think it's important that people start putting Tool at 11pm like Phish. I don't see why they would be the HL and not close What. Bassnectar clearly will hold either a Which spot again or have a longer set at the Other, which in my opinion is probably the better option starting around 1-1:30am.
I solidly believe that if Miley is before Tool, there's a gap in time. I still believe so far that after RTJ playing 2 LN shows already, they play prior to Tool with a normal gap of time; and Miley is at Which Stage either against RTJ or at the Which Stage with Bassnectar at Other.

You really think so? I can't see any chain of events that leads to Kendrick Lamar being on the same level in five years that Jay-Z or Eminem are on right now.
My easy answer for this would be Lizzo in 2016 Also LMAO at the photo of Khalid who was billed top 10 that year
Billie Eilish being billed 44th as recently as 2018 is pretty crazy
Where was Adele billed? And Zac Brown Band in their first appearance? They wentfrom Cafe to Thursday to preheadliner in like three festivals. (Don't feel like counting lines on a poster on mobile.)
Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, and Mac Demarco were all club acts in 2013.
Are you sure Kacey wasn't on the Which that year?
She might have been; I'm just judging from the poster where she's in the alphabetized bottom part of the lineup. Didn't thing most of those made it onto stages/tents but you might be right.

I'm pretty sure she went early Which > late afternoon/evening That > pre- What.

I've had so many terrible takes, and this is the one you go with?
Edit: Really I was wrong about Chance and Bino. They're definitely headliners at this point (or at least Chance was...his stock has dropped at bit).
I make it obvious with just ‘bout every post in these threads that I have no clue what is actually popular anymore, and that’s mostly ‘cause what has continued to become popular is absolute trash, but if The Strokes are your number one...you are not gonna take my money. Especially with Echo and the Bunnymen lower than the stupid fuckin’ Strokes.

slowthai and Denzel Curry seem like the easy picks for future headliners, but I'm gonna go with Orville Peck as the sleeper pick. Idk if he'll get to Roo/Coach headliner status but I think he'll make his way pretty high up there

It seems exceedingly unlikely to me that slowthai will ever be headlining-Bonnaroo big.
He could easily be Tyler big though.
I don't really see that either. The hype machine behind Tyler and OF was as strong as any I can remember. Tyler right now is that borderline where I would be somewhat surprised if he headlined Coachella or Roo, but I can sorta see it happening after he headlined Govs Ball.

Grime just isn't big at all in the US. I think it's very possible that could change, but I don't think any UK rapper gets radio play here in the states (unless 21 Savage counts)
Yeah I was thinking of mentioning her as well. I think she runs the risk of getting stuck too far in the NPR lane but I hope not.
LOL. That's my lane. We even have the mug.
I'm a big fan of that lane too but it doesn't have a great history of producing big relevant names. Seems like Brandi Carlile got trapped there for a decade
