Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, and Mac Demarco were all club acts in 2013.
Are you sure Kacey wasn't on the Which that year?
Kacey was originally a club act, but "Merry Go Round" caught on big on country radio, and they had to move her to the Which maybe a week or two before the fest.
I know most don’t want to hear it but I feel Cage will be a headliner soon. But maybe not and they will forever stay just near the top.
Glass Animals if they release another album or two just as good as their last albums.
I feel like if Portugal. The Man released a popular album with 2-3 radio played songs, They could be headlining. Even though I love them so much, I kinda don’t want that.
Can’t wait to see this reposted in a few years to show how wrong/right I am.
I feel like they get overly hated on sometimes. They don’t suck as musicians, Shultz is usually fun and having a ball and it always seems like I know way more songs and lyrics than i thought i did or was suppose to. I’ve seen them a few times and while not really a draw for me or a band I listen to on my time, they never really sucked and I always had a good time seeing them.

Pretty sure Feel It Still will end up being the peak of their popularity. If that didn't push them to the top of lineups then it's not happening. Song was huge (and is still all over the place tbh).

I’ve seen Cage 5 times now, I’m a really big fan actually and I think they have been amazing every time I’ve seen them besides once (because of sound issues) but matts energy surpassed that being to big of an issue for me. I just know a lot on here are done with them.

Yeah I’m almost positive that’s the biggest hit they’ll have too. I was just saying if they had a new album that had a few radio songs that got a lot of play I could see it happening. But what’s sad to me is Feel it Still got so much attention but no one seems to know their actual good full albums like In the Mountains in the Sky, The Satanic Satanist, & Evil Friends. Every song on that is better than a reiteration of Mr. Postman. But that’s how it goes I guess

Can anyone sell me on The 1975? I was under the impression they were a rock band, but just listened to their most recent album and was shocked it was ultra basic synth pop

Extremely solid & fun live.
I call this the Muse argument. Please try again from someone with the same issue.

I could definitely see Glass Animals, and I did think Cage at one point but not anymore. Their best album was Melophobia, and also the one that got them the most success. Their main songwriter left the band after that album, and their two releases since have been very noticeably worse and also less popular.

My favorite Cage album is Melophobia and I agree it’s their best but I honestly think everyone of their albums are solid and they have 2-3 songs a lot of people know from each. Their albums are recorded in Tennessee, they play Bonnaroo numerous times and love the farm doing secret sets and appearing at others sets. Just think if they release one more big album they could be bumped to headliner.
Moved some stuff around to have it look a bit different
I want Gizz and SJ conflict free schedule
I would love if those didn't conflict, I just don't see Roo starting the Superjam that late. This is a year where I really would not mind if they stuck the Superjam at like 10pm.
Also I don't think there's any chance RTJ plays in a tent.

Matt Healy has said before to stop calling them a rock band because that’s the one thing they don’t really make. I got really into them over the past 10 months since I heard “Love It If We Made It” on the radio and then bought tickets to one of their shows. They range from Pop to Indie but i remember when diving into their discography saying, no song sounds the same. Also with them being British I started reading their lyrics while listening and their lyrics really stuck, catchy and good wordplay Some songs about drug use/rehab really stuck out and then some are just super dance-y (probably some of the synth pop you’ve found). They’ve quickly become my favorite band and I don’t shut up about them. Their new album should be interesting and probably won’t stay in one place for very long.
I've had so many terrible takes, and this is the one you go with?
Edit: Really I was wrong about Chance and Bino. They're definitely headliners at this point (or at least Chance was...his stock has dropped at bit).
I make it obvious with just ‘bout every post in these threads that I have no clue what is actually popular anymore, and that’s mostly ‘cause what has continued to become popular is absolute trash, but if The Strokes are your number one...you are not gonna take my money. Especially with Echo and the Bunnymen lower than the stupid fuckin’ Strokes.
