Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
i still haven't heard a single song from a thursday act.
I haven't dug too deep but I have liked 99 Neighbors. Andy Frasco sounds like they might be a party.
Somebody said he was eating mushrooms on stage at some point back. Big Something is decent live. I don’t love everything, but I’ve seen them a couple times and they were always good overall. So them and Ezra Collective and everything else depends on schedule.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
As this will be my 8th Roo, I think I’ve been just as concerned as seeing as much as I can every year just as I was for my first. I don’t go to Roo to meet up with people I haven’t seen in forever. But also anyone I know at Roo I already go with in my group. And even then, I’ll leave just about anyone to see a set I like or even see a set I barely know but wanted to check out. If I’m paying money and taking my only work scheduled time off then I’m going to use every second of it to enjoy the music I’m going for. Music before people for me sorry if that sounds harsh. But every year I get to see almost 30 artists at Bonnaroo and there’s always more I wish I could’ve seen too anyways. But that’s just me.
Please don't be the judging person in this thread about prioritizing. Some of us literally know each other better than we know our friends in our cities/towns/etc. Have known each other for over a decade and do not get to see each other at all unless life allows. This is my 12th bonnaroo. I have been known to prioritize music over friends; but the idea that I haven't also compromised to see/have moments with people I will not see often but love, matters. I have never seen less than 20 acts in a year, but also, there are years where the acts I saw could never have matched brunch or running into an inforoo member and spending the afternoon with them.
It's just weird that you felt like you needed to non-quote comment on this, and if responding to it pisses you off. Imagine people who make lanyards of the schedule for each other and are willing to create brunch, are the ones you're are criticizing.

we are literally on a forum site for music, specifically at Roo. All I was stating was what I do just like others on here. I have no problem with people doing whatever they want at Roo, so chill.

So thanks for hearing my opinion and telling me to chill. I'll def. chill after that.

I’m sorry if you took anything I said in an attacking way but it was not intented. I was non quote commenting because I wasn’t directed it towards anyone in particular. I was adding to the conversation. I went my first Roo solo all because my old friends never went with me and bailed. My first year I heard about Roo was 2012 and I wanted to go so badly and my friends and I planned to go and everyone bailed like a month before. I moved far away the next year and when the 13’ lineup dropped I was amazed they booked Paul, I planned to go and meet up with my friends that I moved away from and they still have never been to Roo to this day. Those were high school friends. I started going to Roo as a personal vacation for myself. I go every year no matter the lineup because I enjoyed my first year so much, the amount of people I ran into telling me to keep doing what I was doing and saying how cool it was that I came by myself made me love the place and continue to go. When I go to Roo, I use my only vacation days off and during the busiest season for the store I run. I’m not trying to tell people they are wrong for doing brunch, hanging out and enjoying themselves. I think it’s awesome this site organizes that, it’s so cool and beautiful and I’d enjoy and come one year if I knew when where and if I had a gap in the schedule where I thought there was really nothing better playing. All I’m saying is this lineup for me is the best since I started going. I’m literally excited for 22 acts on Friday alone, I’m just stating how every year I wait for the lineup then I wait even longer for the schedule to see how many acts I can see that I love and how many acts I get to check out that are new. I’m like a music junkie, hence why this site is the only place I can constantly talk about Roo. I know others on here are like this too, wasn’t attacking anyone, was just chiming in on the topic being discussed currently.

Devon Gilfillian is someone who I probably would not listen to very often outside of this context but I feel like that should be a good Thursday set too
This new tame album is like psychedelic disco & so fucking good. Will be interesting to see how he mixes these tracks in with the previous albums for his live show.

where can I listen?
nah don’t do this. Just wait until you can hear it like Kevin intended. Didn’t someone just state this was Kevin’s worse nightmare was people hearing his stuff in poor audio quality.

Based on Culprits post, I was thinking real sounding version was out there.

Seeing Gizz’ set length is going to be a pretty huge moment. Some of their shorter sets seem pretty straight forward Rats Nest, which is fine, but if they get 1.5 or 2 hours itll be a game changer where I dedicate a lot of energy to being positioned well for that show.
According to the Tame Impala subreddit, legit vinyl of the Slow Rush was/is being sold at a record store in Chicago. I can't imagine it'll be too long before we get a quality rip.

I was actually just checking their 2020 Laneway Festival setlists today and thought they were pretty mixed up for how short they were
34 different songs from 11 albums over 5 shows, each averaging about 10-11 songs. There's definitely a slight emphasis on Rats' Nest songs but they still seem to be pulling from all over their catalog
I'm still hoping they play as long as possible though. Also I'd like at least 15 minutes between the end of Lizzo and their start

well that’s bull I preordered my vinyl November 5th and it says my vinyl will be delivered on March 5th. The album comes out in 6 days, this is the last time I preorder anything off of amazon.

I don’t have a local record store. Closest one is over an hour away

There’s always a good chance they could release 3-4 albums between now and then, and the set lists would change completely.
album finally just leaked in cdq. would describe it as psychedelic disco; really good. Prior to this leak it was a vinyl rip with the levels boosted.
Everything I've read is that the leak quality is "pretty good" but still just 128 and not 320. Personally not worth giving my first listen to unless I know it's the same quality I'll be getting on release day.

Goddamnit now I have to agree with dblood.. 128k isn't even adjusting VBR to the curve at 160k... Nor even the presentable 192khz which is where discernible differences are harder to pickup in most systems. NAH dawg.. NAH.
