I'm probably in the minority here but I kinda hate that EDM has its own stage where it's the only programming and then they're scheduling EDM acts on other stages late night. If you're someone like me who isn't terribly motivated by a lot of that music it really limits your late night option.
There are pretty few EDM acts that aren't playing on The Other. Bassnectar obviously because of the draw he will have, and then Yaeji as that's something a little different. Most of the rest of it is on The Other. Excluding tiny stages like Who, look at last year's schedule for after 12 acts not on The Other, and I think you can probably find a few things this year that you will like. Plus there's always Snake 'n Jakes which almost never has EDM (may have spinning DJ's from time to time) going until 6 though sometimes hard to get in.
Thursday: Sunsquabi, Saba
Fri: Phish, Deafheaven, Brockhampton, GRiZ-led Super Jam (and then Girl Talk was the one show at another stage)
Sat: Clairo, Post Malone, The Lonely Island, Gucci Mane, JRAD
Top band each year that I'm glad I drug myself to centeroo early for: 2012 - Pelican 2013 - Two Gallants 2014 - King Khan & the Shrines 2015 - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 2019 - Kikagaku Moyo

Dungen in 2016 too
Bonnaroo loves their early afternoon psych rock
This year looks like it's gonna have something I want to see opening a tent every day
My favorite thing about mock schedules (and even the real one) is that I get all excited for all the shows I'm gonna see and how music-packed my days are, and then I go to Roo and average about 4 shows a day. I saw tons of music my first Roo when I was solo and literally had nothing else to do other than perhaps wander (fun) or sit at camp by myself (boring), but nowadays tbh there's a lot of stuff that I'd like to see but in the moment would be fine skipping. Like for Friday this year I'll def be at Turkuaz and plan on catching most if not all at Tool, but there's nothing else I NEED to see. And when it's hot and I'm in the shade at camp bullshitting it's real hard to get up and venture out to catch a band I just heard about six months ago and I barely know any of their songs. And that's after digging into the lineup.
boooooooooo get off your ass and seize the day
I do! Hanging out with friends I see once a year is far more valuable to me than seeing a band I hardly know just for the sake of doing it.

becomes so true with age and also the fact the more shows you've seen in your life the less you NEED to see at roo. that heat will get me to skip sheryl crow in the afternoon, a set i was excited about but a big NOPE in the moment. was able to hear it somewhat decent from camp

I know we all have our own journeys at Bonnaroo and in life <3
But what you do is you scold and guilt trip your friends until they get up and come with you. Seeing Little Simz, Kikagaku Moyo, and Iglooghost after staying out all night was so worth it.

100% agree. as i've gotten older the amount of acts i have to catch has gotten smaller at the big multi-genre festivals. like if i'm sitting in the what and some act is playing at this that i don't know very well but wanted to check out and the sun is setting and i'm tired and it's nice just sitting there and being still it's easy to convince myself to just sit where i am and people-watch until the next act on what comes on.
But there is an exception to this rule at more niche festivals, at least for me. i know i never shut up about movement, but when i discovered the whole underground dance scene and started going to movement a few years ago, i found an energy and hunger for sets i hadn't had in like a decade, simply because there were so many of these DJs i liked and had never seen, nor would I have the opportunity to see in the near future. i'm not saying it's super easy physically to pull off, but i can go to the festival for 12 hours then hop over to an after party for a few hours and catch a shitload of acts in one day. it doesn't hurt that it's easy to bop around Hart Plaza though, plus my hotel is right outside the festival grounds.

Anyone know what this Slingbuam thing is?? An album with FKA Twigs, Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Damon Albarn, Questlove, and like a bunch of other people.
slingbuam has a 3 song album that features a handful of people. its vinyl only, supposedly won't stream, and probably isn't worth the money, but i'd like to listen at some point i guess
As this will be my 8th Roo, I think I’ve been just as concerned as seeing as much as I can every year just as I was for my first. I don’t go to Roo to meet up with people I haven’t seen in forever. But also anyone I know at Roo I already go with in my group. And even then, I’ll leave just about anyone to see a set I like or even see a set I barely know but wanted to check out. If I’m paying money and taking my only work scheduled time off then I’m going to use every second of it to enjoy the music I’m going for. Music before people for me sorry if that sounds harsh. But every year I get to see almost 30 artists at Bonnaroo and there’s always more I wish I could’ve seen too anyways. But that’s just me.

Not me, man. I don't get to see much music these days so I've got to make the most of the opportunity. I'm in Centeroo by 1 and don't leave until late night. You know, for those of you looking for a tent to burgle during the day...

I've never made it into Snake 'n Jakes. There always seems to be a line. And I think robes a lot of the time?

2012: The Kooks, The Devil Makes Three, Gary Clark Jr. (all sets were in the 12pm hour) 2013: No sets before 4 2014: Sam Smith, Goat (2pm hour) 2015: No sets before 5pm 2016: No sets before 5pm 2019: The Teskey Brothers, Rubblebucket (1pm hour)
The Kooks, GCJ, The Teskey Brothers, and Rubblebucket were worth it. The others not so much.

There’s a robe party one night. But I think the key is to get there before everything else shuts down because that’s the only other place in centeroo going all night. Probably somebody just spinning records late, but IDK because I’ve only ever been inside there in the daytime.
