The problem with this lineup is the lack of rarity. There are only 8 acts that I've never seen that I would like to see... and like 20 I have seen before. It seems like most artists can been seen at some point anywhere in the country over the span of 2 or so years.
Friday (going to be conflicts as EFF) Tool, Miley, RTJ, Glass Animals, Young The Giant, Brittany Howard, Primus, Dashboard (emo me yellped) The band Comino, Wallows, Tones & I
Saturday - Lizzo, Tenacious D, Nelly, Sylvian Esso, Growlers, Mt Joy, EOB, Hero the band
Sunday - Tame Impalla, Lana, Vampire Weekend, Flogging Molly, Struts, Oliver Tree, Orville Peck, Colony House
28 total i would be super happy to see that fits my taste in music.

Interesting. I've only seen five artists on this entire lineup so the rarity is a plus for me.
I think the real crime here is they used the same colors for the lineup poster as last year
funny you mention this, i was just coming to say i like that they used the same color scheme this year.
i always appreciate how coachella's posters look. they do change the colors but there is continuity in the setting: you see the green polo fields, the desert hills, then some sort of sky. i believe they had the night sky some years back but the past few years there is more of a soft dusk color, often with purplish overtones, sometimes drifting into yellow/orange. They also use the same font and general text structure. The point being before you read anything your brain knows this is a Coachella lineup. The color, the font, everything just feels like you are at the polo fields.
Bonnaroo didn't have to use the exact same colors, but I'd hope to see some sort of continued continuity going forward. I like the black background with the wild cartoonish colors. It's striking and could become the color scheme, font, and layout that makes you think "Bonnaroo" as soon as you see it. The black background makes me think of night time on the farm, and the colors make me think of all the wild people walking around bugging out and offering me pizza and shit.
Remember that time I gave y’all the headliners two months early and y’all still wanted to fuck around and listen to some kid named RooBus or a Festive Owl charging money for scoopz?

Not a giant fan of either, but also surprised that neither Of Monsters and Men or Rainbow Kitten Surprise aren't on here. Along with no Foals, Bombay Bicycle Club, etc, the indie is a little weak. There's a lot of the soft Still Woozy/Wallows type stuff.

It's decent to good.. but unless the HLers really get you in, I'm gonna have to see this schedule first... I'm still seeking out an act that surprises me (Miley does, just not in the "I'm gonna buy a ticket way, but get why others might") -- I'm sure digging through some of the undercard I'd be into it.
Thursday: Briston Maroney, Andy Frasco, Big Something, Liz Cooper & The Stampede, The Regrettes, Too Many Zoos
Friday: Tool, Miley Cyrus, Brittany Howard, Primus, Wallows, PPPP, Turkuaz (2nd line here does not do it for me at all...)
Saturday: Lizzo, Flume, Oysterhead, The D, Isbell, Gizz, Sylvan Esso, Nelly, Denzel Curry, Mandolin Orange, The Growlers, Billy Strings, Mt Joy, Marcus King
Sunday: Tame, Lana, VW, Leon Bridges, Grace Potter, Flogging Molly, Greensky Bluegrass, The Struts, Caamp, Pinegrove, Orville Peck
Overall happy with the lineup and will be there for it
Yeah I really have no idea how this schedule is gonna shake, but that'll probably end up doing a lot in dictating how much effort I put into swinging this. Hopefully they do an early schedule release like they did last year.

altin gun, mdou moctar, jupiter and okwess, femi kuti, oysterhead, EOB, bill frisell, nilufer yanya, yaeji, makay mcraven, jerry harrison and adrian belew playing one of my favorite albums, and the opry are all acts I probably would not be able to see without going to bonnaroo, and are reasons drawing me in.
Other big draws for me like RTJ, TOOL, Primus, uncle acid, billy strings, greensky, jason isbell, are all artists I have seen multiple times each and don't move the needle much. King gizz is the only artist I really want to see that I haven't since last time they were at bonnaroo, which was like 200 albums ago.
I know I'll enjoy the hell out of lizzo and probably miley (as long as I suppress the hope she has tennessee's queen dolly come out) and if I'm being realistic I wouldn't buy a ticket for their arena shows.
I think it will really depend on the schedule. It looks like it could be a 2016 situation, where there's really only one or two thing going on that I want to see at any given time, and possibly a lot of dead air.
Bassnectar/Oysterhead feel like the obvious LN Which choices but also I'm not too sure after they put some slightly lower billed acts (I think Brockhampton and TLI were both like 5th on their day) in those spots last year.
Also the idea of them putting Bassnectar on which AGAIN after the clear outcry to have him play the What in '18 would just be kinda comical.

Fun times.
To be fair, he does have a bus AND he's been to Bonnaroo a couple times.
Noticeable lack of country this year or am I missing something?
Seemed they had been trending in that direction
honestly I think it's more that last year had an especially large presence of Country/Americana/etc. - it's still there this year, but yeah there's a considerable drop-off in comparison. Feel like it's probably about in line with 2018 though.
Isbell, the Opry, Yola, Mandolin Orange, Billy Strings, Greensky. Lennon Stella was also country but I think she's basically pop now. Now that it's listed out, it feels like one more significant name would do a lot for this aspect of the lineup, but eh I don't think it's that big of a deal.
There's a lot of Country/Folk/Americana in the lower cards.

Agree on the schedule. Saturday could easily go from “Not amazing but at least something interesting all day” to a couple gross conflicts and a whole lot of nothing.
Someone sell me on this lineup. It just seems so “meh.”
You either feel it or you don't. I haven't felt in 4 years and didn't know if I would again. My wife and I said we'd never go back. Then I saw the lineup this morning and we're talking about going. It's totally ok to not go if you're not into it though.

I'm in the same boat where I look at this line-up and feel it just hits with a lot of artists I love and have been wanting to see or see again. I'm excited to see how Lizzo is given a full headliner stage w as much production as she and her teams wants.
