I have always driven down from MA but will be flying in this year due to timing. I'm staying in VIP and want to bring a tent and shade canopy with me. Will the airline let me check these items or would it be smarter to mail down in advance to a Mailboxes etc., or something? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.
I flew in the last two years. I had a tent and a shade canopy in my checked luggage. As long as it fits within your airline's size and weight restrictions (usually 2 bags at 50 lbs each) you'll be fine.
