I couldn’t get through the fucking awful Forensic Files parody so at this point I don’t think I’m ever going to.
Did you abandon the season?
Actually no! but I was on vacation last week so I didn’t watch last week’s episode and I’m probably not going to catch the finale until next week. Just didn’t feel as interested in sharing my takes I guess lol.
All hail the international drag clown. So happy for Jimbo. Although that W is no shock, it is well deserved. And if someone besides Jessica Wild had to win the Fame Games, I'm glad it was La La Ri.

Agreed about La La Ri getting it if it couldn't be Jessica. I wonder if Jessica would've won without the multiplier wheel stuff?? Even without the wins I hope this has given Jessica a boost <3 For some reason I didn't realize until now there's no miss congeniality in all stars, because surely she would've won that at least!
Someday I'll binge Canada. How does Brooke Lynn do at hosting?
Ok, I suppose. She feels more like an important part of the judging panel than the actual host to me. The Canadian edition of DR is teeming with personality, which is why it's my favorite. What it lacks in polish it makes up in memorable characters... And contestants like Jimbo, Miss Fiercealicious, Priyanka, Icecis Couture, Lemon, Gia Metric, Kimmy Couture, etc surpass memorable and enter the iconic territory.
Finally watched yesterday. Cara Melle is an instant standout for me. We finna see how everything progresses.
100% same. I just re-upped WOW+
Did you know there's an escandalo involving a queen who's been edited out?
I have heard a bit of the tea... And seen a tiktok where they pointed out where you could see part of her wig a few times in this last episode, but not super versed in everything that has gone down. You can spill?

I don't know much either! But apparently they gave her the option of losing a LS to leave (which was declined), which just feels messyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Very happy for Ginger Johnson... Honestly I wanted them all to win. I hated the double winner bit of AS4, but if there ever had to be a double winner I feel like Ginger and Michael would've been the most deserving.

Honestly I fell asleep for half the episode but I was pulling for Michael a smidge more after the roast. But Ginger is a worthy competitor. Hope they come stateside for some gigs!
Canada's Drag Race was soooooo good last night. They always bring the drama and the personalities. My consistent favorite of all the international versions of Drag Race.

Thank you for the reminder to finally watch! Should I start from season one or just bang on with this current season first?

Bang her out at S4 and then revisit the previous seasons. This one is A LOT of fun! And I need someone to converse with about this season!!!
I watched like the entrance videos and read some of the MTQ stuff but I really just don't care about anyone lol. have a feeling this season is going to be a chore to get through for me, but I'm hoping I'll change my mind with the episode tonight.
so I walked away from that premiere more satisfied than I entered, and by that I mean I screamed for approximately 3 minutes at full volume when I realized this was going to be another split premiere episode with only 6 girls. Not spoilering anything because what is there to spoil after that?
As I mentioned earlier, I was fairly unimpressed with everyone's entrances, but upon closer inspection I was entranced by Mirage's insane Lisa Frank-ass rainbow eyeshadow. The rest of the outfit was ridiculous, but that's ok. Also, I'm not even someone who knows a lot about makeup or anything, but is the standard just that everyone uses an insane amount of highlight now? I thought it was somewhat noticeable during the entrances but then RuPaul shows up on the screen in the mail segments looking like the Tin Man with the Raven nose, and then comes out in a Bananas in Pajamas-ass suit. The ring bell photoshoot was whatever, I guess Love Connie is now someone we're just going to have around now? And then: the talent show. Jesus Christ. Remember in AS3 when Trixie Mattel said about Milk "your talent can't be velcro"? These bitches need to at least be rapping live!! I think about that quote all the fucking time now that everyone's talent is either doing a mediocre lip sync to someone else's song (Morphine, but a great song choice!), doing a lip sync to a mediocre song they made over the shittiest house beat in the world (almost everyone else), or doing something super outré that still somehow works?? (Sapphira, Q). Speaking of, Q and Sapphira were the two from this group I came to like the most. I found Q's upper lip utterly disappearing from her face in her confessional look endearing in spite of a tame entrance, and then she sold me with that stupid ass puppet show. I went back and forth on Sapphira, finding her boring in the photoshoot, then not only being impressed with her incredible opera vocals but also that goofy ass subtitling for added effect (side note: I once saw singer/pianist Joseph Keckler open for Sleater-Kinney and he did something similar but way more avant-garde? Kind of funny that two people have a very specific act going in the same direction), but then did not like the Neapolitan corset her reveal led into. Speaking of runways, I don't care what the judges say, I liked Morphine's reveal, even though I hated both how glossy her lips look all the fucking time and how weirdly mean she seemed (though she was absolutely right about Amanda's breastplate. What was going on with that??). I also liked Xunami's (though she did also have a bad performance), and Ru said her bang looked like Nichelle Nichols but it reminded me more of Sufe Bradshaw from Veep (in a good way). Good on Q and Sapphira for getting top marks, and from the jump that lipsync was Sapphira's to lose. She did a great job making that vibrato show on her face and the absolutely insane titties falling off move at the end genuinely surprised and impressed me. Least impressive? Charlize Theron. Loved the black dress she wore at judging, hated the fact that she appeared to be totally incapable of speaking to these drag queens in a normal human fashion. "I'm so sorry......................what's happening to your community.............."
