Alrighty well TBD if Manders will come in with a vote before the deadline anyway, but I feel like I might've already delayed this longer than would've been advisable. Did literally say to LD in reply to my role assignment, "dammit, I haven't done Mafia in years, was sorta hoping I wouldn't get Inspector for this first game back." But alas, I did.
Jortles was my given name. Asked about Jaz night 1, and unfortunately the knowledge I gained that night re: him being town is now nothing new to add since he's been whacked. I asked about Jaz that first night because he *had* effectively slipped out of getting killed, with MD going down instead. Turns out that wasn't a Mafia orchestrated move, but I had to check to make sure it wasn't.
Night 2, I asked about Pablo & he's town. As you can see in D3, I have quickly backed off Pablo (whereas was highly suspicious of him D2) and have been giving credence to his thoughts/theories as I know he's on my side.
Sincere apologies neither of the two names I asked for are Mafia, so all I have to offer is 100% certainty that Jortles is Mafia and Pablo is Town (and again, we already all know by now that Jaz is too). I pushed hard for Jortles D2 and was worried it'd be enough to get me whacked overnight, but I did purposefully do it with enough direct force that I was hoping it'd appear as "well, an Inspector probably wouldn't be that aggressive D2 towards their given name because they want to fly enough under the radar to get to D3." Seems that part of the strategy might've worked...just wish I had another damn Mafia name to offer y'all from my Night 2 guess :/
Am rather concerned all 3 Mafia might still be in the game...so if my fellow Townsfolk don't believe me on this, D3 could be the end of the game. I am seeing a Teddy/Jortles link emerge, and Jortles has already declared he's going to switch his vote to me. If there are 3 Mafia still in, they won't care about all banding together on the same name because if they vote that person out, they've won.
Got some other theories too. Want to hear from piggy pablo for sure, since I know he's on my team.

Jortles and Maddog being teammates would necessitate the assumption that Jortles contributed to a mafia members death on D1. I've done that before as mafia, I'm not ruling it out, but I think it's less likely.

1. TBH, was just genuinely very suspicious of him, especially as I observed his interactions with Jortles (who I've been keeping close tabs on since D1, naturally). I admit it was an instance of "now that I have suspicions re: Pablo, I can see all these ways that theory would fall into place..." I'll try to pull some specific examples of what led me to that suspicion, will come back to this.

I wanted to see where votes would fall; if all three Mafia ARE still alive, then we have obvious reason to believe they'd all three vote together to end the game here. Right now, that doesn't look great for you, potentpotables , since you're on Manders alongside Jortles. But I'm also not ignoring the fact that Carini & Teddy are joint-voting for me rn. Sadly it doesn't give me any new info re: who is on Jortles, because it is me and Pablo--and I already know our respective roles.
3. Need to do a serious re-read today so I can more comprehensively respond to this one. Dan (Night 1 whack) did have a choice between Jaz & MD, and he voted for MD, before then getting whacked that night. So there's that. Kanye...oof, that's been a tough one for me to get a read on. By the end of D2, I felt pretty strongly he was acting townish. But I haven't played with the dude before--if he tends to play "sorta scattered/overzealous townie trying on a lot of theories and offering up a lot of thoughts" when he's actually Mafia, then he could've been doing that here. If others have played with him before and could offer guidance re: that, could be helpful. Nonetheless, lean town for Kanye. Especially since Jortles, with his sweeping "Here is My Lengthy Analysis!" post-Dan whack, talked about doing a 180 on Kanye, now being very suspicious of him...and then Kanye got lynched that same day. Setting his teammate up for a lynch that blatantly would be an odd Mafia move, tho never say never.

To note: I find it interesting that in D1, before Kanye started switching votes around and shit, we had: Maddog - 3 (Pablo, Teddy, Rummy)
Carini - 3 (Jaz, Jortles, Danbob)
Jaz - 3 (Carini, Silver, Maddog)
Knowing that Jortles is Mafia & that Jaz and Danbob both definitely are NOT, it makes me wonder if Jortles is on Carini here as a D1 distancing move. Similarly, Teddy could be doing a distance move voting for MD, but we know that neither Pablo nor I would be on MD as Mafia Distancing Tactic. And then Jaz is town, so nothing to analyze re: distancing moves there.

- D1R2 there's a 5 way with one revoter - Rummy the inspector. She votes Maddog. - I voted next, because someone had to get people moving. I switched from Danbob to Jortles (where Danbob and Manders already were) - Danbob moved off Jortles, allowing Jortles to escape, but we know this was not on purpose. - Danbob switched to Carini, carrying him to the next runoff. - Again, my vote was on Jortles there, so I was willing to take him to the next runoff. We know now that he is mafia.

FWIW, as I’m doing a reread I’m leaning town for you now. For some of the same reasoning you’ve cited above; you’ve made multiple moves that would NOT have behooved your team if you were mafia. If there was just one move of that nature, I’d be wary to presume it might not be distancing tactic. But there’s only so much distancing/piling-onto-their-teammates that mafia can do before they’re just genuinely hurting their chances.
I think Jortles/Teddy/Carini is very likely. Switching one of the latter two out for MD, also possible—but as you pointed out, his comrades letting him go easy D1 isn’t the most likely of things.

I just woke up so I'll have to take some time to process this. Obviously my first tendency here is to believe Rummy, because I've felt off about her and maybe what had me thinking she was Mafia was actually that she was Inspector, trying to lay low. Also, she cleared me, so that helps. Certainly helps more than if she tried to pin me as Mafia!
My instincts have not been great in this game, or weren't in those first two days, if she's telling the truth, but I am on Jortles now and I'm ok staying there.
So in D1, Danbob voted for both Jortles & Carini. He was the one to throw Jortles into the run-off, in fact, as he stated "maybe Jortles because that'd be fun." He didn't place his vote right then but waited it out a bit...then did end up putting his vote on Jortles, with mention that he was being too quiet. Mafia Team easily could've read that D1 move/comment as Dan throwing his given name into the run-off but playing it off with the lighthearted tone of "because that'd be fun!"
Jortles went > Manders > Carini D1, and I'm wondering if his shift to > Carini was for distancing since Jortles ended up on MD.
Similarly, D2 Carini started out > Jortles , which was great for me because I obviously wanted to get Jortles into the run-off so I was able to stack onto him there and get him into the run-off a bit more discreetly than if I'd been the first one to cast a vote for him D2. But then, interestingly enough, Jortles avoided being in the final 2 (which Potent helped with--so here's another "Doesn't Look Good For You, Potent" moment), and so Carini's vote moved over to Kanye by day's end.
Obviously we need to get Jortles out of here. But for D4 (presuming they whack me tonight and don't try to pull a Fake Inspector Reveal --> keep the real Inspector around and aim to discredit all they say), y'all should take a good hard look at Carini.

At this point I'm leaning towards the idea that they won't be doing a fake reveal since Teddy, Carini and Potent have all replied to say they're leaning towards believing me. And I'm about 99.7% sure one if not two of those dudes are Mafia. If all three were innocent, that'd leave a team of Jortles/Manders/MD or Kanye...and idk, that doesn't feel right at all.
Also, Jortles has been online within the hour but not posted in here, just in other threads. Sadly since I just have the one confirmed Mafia name to offer the town, it isn't that huge of a loss for them (if rn all 3 are still alive) to sacrifice Jortles here while his teammates play dumb re: his Mafia status

So if Manders doesn't vote, does Jortles get lynched and Manders gets a strike and we go to Night 3? Or does the game get delayed until Manders votes or autolynches? LD
That's what I thought. Perhaps we should preserve a runoff for the chance that Mr.BelgianAmbers votes eventually after the deadline? He would survive the one strike. Deadline is in four hours. Manders told Kanye that he had thoughts to share on Day 3 that he was withholding. Either way, the dude seems shady as hell.

Yeah. It has now been an entire 72-hr stretch of time since he’s been online. Or, as you’d previously mentioned , he could’ve gone invisible on purpose.

Yeah, idk. On a surface level, the two whacks so far point to Manders above anyone else, in my eyes. And now there's this disappearing act, when he was so active and noisy on D1. Potent made some remark that Manders, or anyone else, would never play that way as Mafia, which struck me as odd. I somewhat doubt all three Mafia were lying low and not even one was trying to steer discussion. But really, who knows.
