I am likely to move my vote to Jaz around 2pm if nobody else makes a move, so that we can preserve the 3 way. Of course, I'm working from home, so I hope I don't get caught in a project and miss my arbitrary deadline.
If mad dog doesn’t check in before the deadline I’m going to find that pretty suspicious. He could be holding out for a revote next runoff.

I generally find it suspicious when the same people are setting people up to revote or the same people are constantly re voting. Doesn't necessarily mean anything early but always worth pointing out.
Last four voters - Potent, Dan, Teddy, Manders Those without D1 initial votes - Potent, Kanye
None of these people are in the runoff. I think that's statistically bad news for town. (going back the last 6 or so games I've played it's between .25-.75% on the last four voters)

I guess I like it to break a tie. You weren't necessarily needed here to get to a 3way originally, but I guess this is the beauty of the 5way in that there isn't a traditional way to get it back to 3.

Makes me think some of the people concentrating on pushing the deadline further and further back are just trying to protect their Mafia buddies.

The longer round 1 takes, the more posts we have to look at during round 2.

It has always been a step by step process but I think to much emphasis is placed on not having people in runoffs revote

But on the other hand, 7 pages for Day 1 isn't generally the most productive thing since we've got nothing much to go off of yet, and it makes it significantly shittier to have to sift through later on. But, it is what it is.

On day 1 when everyone is acting randomly I dont see much else to use so yes I'm still looking at Jaz.

Your two statements are kind of at odds in my opinion. You don't see much else to use, so you vote for Jaz. Fine, makes sense to me.
Danbob doesn't see much else to use, so he sees value in setting it up so that the revoters are people without a self interest in the next runoff. That has just as much validity in game play style, and probably has more value to the town in the long run in finding out who people are willing to vote for and who they aren't willing to vote for.

The town needs to talk more. We win when we do, we lose when we don't. This is more of a reply to Teddy Flair than Rummy, but I'm all for people asking questions, giving answers, making observations, etc. That will help us in the long run.
Another thing I want to point out is that later in the game day 1 runoffs are beneficial because it gives us more information to look at and people can’t respond “well of course I’m not going to vote for myself”
And if I find someone suspicious I’ll gladly throw them in even if a person in the runoff gets a revote. I just don’t have anything that justifies that here so far.

Generally, we wait for a revote.
The people who are extra horny for this scenario of people in the runoff not getting their votes back won't appreciate it none too much if anyone switches.
