So out of maddog, Jortles, danbob, Jaz, and Carini, how do we feel? I always lean towards dumping off the least active people day 1, so that leaves my choice between maddog and Carini. Y'all care to defend yourselves?

In one sense, no reason at all - no reason it's Jortles.
In another sense, as Dad Dog said, it was to get the party started. Four hours passed (according to inforoo's time stamp system, we'll know more after 24 hours have passed) between Rummy's revote on D1R2 and my vote switch. Ample time for someone else to switch. Nobody did - in fact piggy pablo announced he wasn't going to, which is fine. I know it will look like I'm "saving" Danbob, I can't help that and neither can he. That's the nature of getting to a runoff when you've got a 5-way - somebody's got to move, somebody's got to get saved, and somebody's going to get jealous. OK, the last one is more true for a sexual 5-way.

Going back to this for a second: while I do think that activity can be indicative of things (though it can go either way--some people tend to be more talkative when town, others more so when Mafia...and I'm sure many consciously try to switch it up so that they don't appear to hold a pattern game to game)...
1) in day 1, eh--give it a little time
2) post count isn't everything! while I do find it useful as the game goes on to keep tabs on post count numbers, you gotta maintain perspective on whether a bunch of fluff/silly posts really count towards anything. Sometimes too much loud-mouthing/rambling out the gate can be a distraction tactic. And then other times it is just a townsperson trying to stir up conversation. Can go either way, but just something to be wary of.

I agree, but I feel like you also have to take into account that the quarantine is giving all us a lot more free time to play.

It's not like me, and I agree they have little meaning. Pablo brought up math shit saying my logic was flawed so I was responding to that. And I even said that it was way too deep to be going into a trivial move made this early in the game. Full agreement with you there.

I think that tally is correct.
It's crazy to me that Maddog hasn't moved his vote. It benefits the town to go from 5 to 3 instead of 5 to 2 in the next runoff. Nobody has shown any concern about Danbob falling out. Maddog, while being the only single voter right now, is also one to benefit from the runoff being a 3 way, seeing as how he's currently in it. Why hasn't he switched his vote? This is something to note.
So I’m thinking here that the best course of action is both Jaz and carini the either mad dog or jortles. This way there’s nobody in the runoff with a revote. Someone correct me if this is not right brewing up a coffee rn.

Nobody caring about me is definitely interesting because in a group of four there’s likely to be one mafia. If there is a mafia in this runoff me falling out is the perfect thing to point out. Maybe we have all townies or maybe mafia is just holding back and hoping things fall into place.

Not to speak for Danbob, but I think he was then assuming that Maddog moves to Jaz. In which case, the two people with revotes are me and Manders, if everything else stays the way it is.

I’m not trying to “save” jortles, but having both him and mad dog in the runoff guarantees people having revotes.

I am likely to move my vote to Jaz around 2pm if nobody else makes a move, so that we can preserve the 3 way. Of course, I'm working from home, so I hope I don't get caught in a project and miss my arbitrary deadline.

If mad dog doesn’t check in before the deadline I’m going to find that pretty suspicious. He could be holding out for a revote next runoff.
