-im much more confident in my ability to build around Daft Punk than any of the other possible #1s
-what i gathered from my research is that there are a lot less win condition acts in this draft than the Roo draft, and i likely wasn't getting any of them at #8.
-there were other offers where cdev arguably could have gotten even more value.
-its fucking daft punk. at coachella. i dont need to go much deeper into it than that.

I mean Daft Punk is great, it’s just that you could have had Prince.
He made it easy. I wasn't ready to start. If he picked Prince you guys were going to have to wait till I got home because there was a lot to think about and people offering me trades before I even knew when I was picking

ill never forget seeing the news break that he died as i was getting on the plane for coachella 2016, i was already feeling sick that morning and that shit just absolutely through me. all the purple decorations people put on the 2008 poster were great. i cried like a baby when they played his Creep cover on the big screen while waiting for LCD, like a god damn baby.
but still, Daft Punk holds too special of a place in my heart. when building my fantasy Coachella, it was never not gonna start with Daft Punk headlining friday.
There's a chance you'll get to see Daft Punk again in your lifetime. There is no chance you will ever see Prince again.
true, but i wouldn't bet on it. if it was gonna happen, i think it would have been 2017. maybe we'll get another album again (which i would love) but i truly don't think we'll ever see a real live performance again, outside of the Grammys or some shit.
