I would still assume that inspector is a more valuable whack than doctor just because, doctor will not know who's getting whacked, doctor can't save themselves (this is a question lol), and doctor won't be able to learn who mafia is, could potentially "save" a third mafia or the fake inspector.
If Jaz is the whack, they'd probably whack me knowing I'd likely use the save on NBF since I can't save myself

Yeah idk. Coming at me with a baseless claim after being silent AND being the last voter is weird. And then not only that, you switch your vote right after being questioned about it. Something just feels off and forced about it.

Yeah, so this 12:30pm move by Silver is my primary sticking point with the idea that he & Jaz are mafia together. OK so let's say hypothetically that Jaz & Silver *are* indeed teammates. Silver makes a late-round switch off of a townsperson (LD) onto his teammate (Jaz), to spawn a high-risk fake reveal? D1 fake reveal, you have to know that there's a considerable chance that the real Inspector might counter-claim especially if their given name is someone different from the one faking (as is the case here with NBF, if she's the real one).
It wouldn't have looked off for Sivler to just sit at LD, where he was. Why move to teammate at that point? If I'm missing something key here, someone pls do explain

Personally, I think that killing LD here is absolutely essential. We need to force mafia to make a move with the whack and by killing jaz we kinda shoot our own feet as townies.

Doesn't make sense imo. I feel like NBF is mafia protecting LD. Seems counter intuitive but maybe that's the point. Also this is just a theory but could be possible that mafia is LD, NBF, and Silver. This would make it look like there's no way they are all 3 on the same team. I guess the mafia whack at night will tell us a whole lot

I'm more under the impression jaz is telling the truth and nbf is lying, but I'll bite.
One thing to note: a fake doesn't always have to be done by mafia, I've been wanting to fake as town for awhile actually, just never found a reason too.
So here's the scenarios:
Jaz is lying-
1) he's mafia, and I'm mafia with him. - this would mean I intentionally switched to him to force a fake reveal day 1 so we could (?) I have no idea why id do that. I didn't have to do anything and we could've just gone on with the round.
2) he's lying, and town -maybe he just wanted to keep playing, would make sense as to why it came out so easily that you were his name. He did say he was getting tired of mafia so maybe he wanted to spice things up?
NBF is lying-
1) teammates with LD to try to at the very least confuse things. This would likely mean there's a #3 somewhere hidden well
2) lying, is town -maybe they wanted to take the heat from the real inspector and get us to day 2. It would be a nice martyr move I think (maybe jaz, maybe not)

1) trying to get doctor to reveal 2) muddy the waters

The irony was, I was typing out a post saying the Mafia could whack NBF because until her reveal she had the lowest post count by a few - until she revealed.
Rummy pretty much summed it up. If Silver and I were Mafia together, LD was already set to be voted out and we could have just waited for the round to end. There'd have been absolutely no reason for him to switch on me for distancing just so that I could pull a risky fake D1 reveal. If you think this is more likely than me being the Inspector forced into a reveal because he was about to be voted off, then I don't know what to tell you.

My guess is that if they thought I had Jaz’s name, they were going for the long game to try to use this later to say they weren’t working together when I eventually came out and revealed Jaz. Also, that they thought it made it less likely that I would ask about Kanye in the night.
Is there a chance that LD is the third and Jaz came out because they knew they were losing a mafia member either way so they went all out with Jaz doing the fake inspector claim? If he’s lying about being the doctor, someone knows that.

To that first point--could Mafia really be so confident D1 about which name the Inspector has? Especially how quiet you've been... Idk, just seems an oddly high-risk move to make nonetheless, but not saying it is entirely out of the realm of possibility.
As to your second point--this is an interesting idea to consider, actually. It'd be a solid distancing move, that's for sure (because until you mentioned this, I definitely was of the opinion "Well, at least we know now that it isn't Jaz and LD *together*), though again one with extremely high risk. I could see LD angling for something like this as mafia though, tbh

Yeah, this sucks. I come out of retirement to get another Day 1 lynch. I would obviously liked to have played longer than this.
I just hope the town actually learns something out of this.
A. Jaz inspector, LD mafia, doctor still out there, other two mafia unknown
B. NBF inspector, Jaz mafia, Kanye mafia, LD doctor
if... A. we lynch LD, doctor saves jaz, mafia either takes a shot at doctor or just goes for Jaz thinking doctor might believe NBF.
B. we lynch Jaz, LD saves NBF, mafia most likely takes out LD.
so... -next day LD should be dead, regardless. however, if LD is mafia and Jaz is inspector, mafia could whack LD, bad for numbers though. -would mafia make no whack? just let the inspector back and forth keeps going, try to hide, again bad for numbers.
As far as 'would kanye put jaz in the runoff like that', A. Kanye has no chill with movement, i would say yes he is capable of that, B. he didn't really make the final move to put him in, things were still kind of shaking up, and he easily could have moved back to LD without a reveal.
LD could still not be doctor regardless of if NBF is inspector. LD could be mafia pretending to be doctor, Jaz could be telling the truth. NBF has no idea what LDs role is, so yeah, I want to kind of take that out of my scenario.
