I think this type of voting has been really good personally. I think it’s kept people more engaged and people are putting in more work to defend their lineups, explain their votes, ask questions, etc.
DRAGON ENERGY- I thought Bing’s Sunday was better, but DE’s Friday and Saturday we’re significantly better.
What'd your run be on Friday and Saturday?
Jayda G > Shura > 070 Shake > The Streets > Talabot > Preoccupations > Orbital > Grace Jones > Bicep > Kanye Friday has a ton of conflicts too so my schedule could change based on my mood but I’d be super happy with that day
Genghis Tron > Sudan Archives > Youth Lagoon > Antony > Divine Fits > Sophie > Whitest Boy Alive > Atoms > Charli > Nico

it also requires people to use all their votes. It’s gonna be interesting to see if we do in the infinity since we will be comparing apples and oranges.

Why does it matter that you have Byrne if you have 20 less (not an exact number) of acts I want to see?
I’m saying it’s weird to completely disregard quality and go for sheer quantity
If it were closer I'd have to look at more than that. I'll have to in the final.
To explain more. Headliners got 10 pts. So all the lineups with low numbers have headliners I don't like. I'm not going all the way to Coachella and spending all that money for headliners I don't like.

you didn’t do it for Bing / Dragon and it’s a difference of 3
He has Kanye and Drake. I wouldn't go to those sets if there was nothing else playing. I like Bing's headliners more. So that tells you I thought DE had way better undercard to even make it that close.

Was actually asking to drop em for both. :p
Bonde do Role - US Girls - Warpaint - Japanese Breakfast - Ellen Allien - Noname - Polica - Tallest Man - Wu Tang - Sufjan The Streets, Grace Jones, Bicep and Kanye would all rank above any of those
Ben Clementine - Savages - Whitney - Amyl - Kamasi - Fka - Avicii? - Sven Vath, maybe Baroness. This day is super thin for me, there’s stuff I’d see but I don’t have strong interest in anything after Fka twigs

No fan of The Blaze or Jambinai? Could also close down ur days with some Despacio instead of Väth, Baroness or Avalon Emerson.

The Blaze and Jambinai are both good but none of that holds up against Atoms > Charli > Nico or even Drake for that matter. I want to see some big names at a fest and none of your Saturday big names (Flomac, Cage) do much for me.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Bing Monie - Honestly, I think you guy's are overhyping Cdev's lineup a bit. I do wish people would be a bit more objective when comparing against him, but c'est la vie. I am proud of the lineup I put together and I think my days are very well balanced both by genre and the size of the acts playing. All 3 of my headliners are more than solid, and I think I scheduled the days well to allow something for everyone at any given time. I'll concede Sunday is my weakest day, but I think my Friday and Saturday are pretty great. Pepe King T
I think I have the outright best HLer out of the 7 w DP, Amy is great but I'm not sure that's the type of set I want from my #1 coachella HLer. I love The Weeknd, I think he has a fantastic show perfect for Coach, but I won't sit here and try and compare him to NiN since it's just so different. As for the sunday HLers, we both have some stretches, with Solange vs Lana. It's really up to personal taste here, but I obviously think Solange is the much more interesting artist, capable of putting on a MUCH better show. As for Bon Iver, I know you bumped him into that Co-HL spot on your poster, but on your schedule, he's really no different than a Sub. He has the same exact set length AND set time as Janes Addiction and Arctic Monkeys. And he's against half of Wilco, half of Noel & HFB, and all of Shpongle, the 3 other acts I would be most interested in on Sunday :/
To dive a little deeper into the schedules, Kim has every night ending at 12? and no late night options? im not sure whats up w that. coachella late nights may not go as deep as classic Roo late nights, but there's almost always some awesome post-HLer options, and I think I provided that.
Subs
I think I really have the edge here. I generally like most of the acts Kim has here, it's just a little too much white guys with guitars at the top for my taste. Arctic Monkeys, Janes Addiction, Faith No More, Wilco, SHM, RTJ, Noel & HFB, Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes, Daniel Caesar, Khalid, GriZ VS Jamiroquai, PJ Harvey, Gesaffelstein, Morrissey, HAIM, Empire of The Sun, Beirut, Pet Shop Boys, Porter Robinson, Mercury Rev, Kehlani, Amon Tobin, A$AP Ferg
We both have a few stretches, w your biggest offenders being Khruangbin and CDW, and mine likely being Tycho, SBTRKT and MØ.
Undercard
i'll admit there's a lot of stuff in Kim's undercard that i just don't know. i'm sure there's some gems in there im unaware of but i'm just gonna address what i do know. Parquet Courts, Black Coffee, Tom Misch, Koffee, Explosions in The Sky, Jose Gonzalez, Steve Lacey, Shpongle, all right up my alley. But I think I top that with Sleigh Bells, Floating Points, Raekwon & Ghostface, Maceo Plex, Toro y Moi, Joey Bada$$, Carl Cox, Dungen, and SebastiAn. And that's only acts from my second lines.
SCHEDULE
But then we get here and a lot of those great undercards get lost :/ Parquet Courts isn't on there (mine isn't entirely complete so I don't blame ya), and every night arguably my most anticipated act is against a HLer. CDW (who is a sub but should be undercard) against Amy hurts, Explosions in the Sky against NiN REALLY hurts, and Shpongle against Bon Iver hurts. I think having an actual LN on Friday + Saturday could have helped this a lot, but alas, if I were to attend Kimchella, the end of each day for me would likely look like-
Khruangbin->Arctic Monkeys->RTJ->Amy Winehouse
Klangstof->Tom Misch->Janes Addicion?->Little bit of EITS-> NiN
Theophilus London->Sharon Jones->Bon Iver->Half of Wilco->Lana Del Rey
vs my ideal back half of each day @ Pepechella
Empire of the Sun->SBTRKT->Jamiroquai->Eprom->Daft Punk->Floating Points
not a full 1-3 AM "Late Night" in the bonnaroo sense, but the Friday and Saturday of Coachella never ends with the HLers.
Music runs til 1 am Friday and Saturday, but typically the HL are the last set.
i feel like i've definitely seen sets at coachella that ran to at least 1:30. and as for HLers being the last set, Saturday 2016, Friday & Saturday 2017, Friday 2018, and Saturday 2019 all seem to disagree
regardless, pushing the schedule an hour later than reality > cutting it short an hour later than reality

I think the 1 am cut off is a little flexible, but it’s definitely not 3am.

mine is 2:30. again, for the sake of our fantasy lineups, I don't think pushing it an hour past the already flexible cut off is that crazy. still doesn't change the fact that Coachella does almost always have post-HLer options.
No, those acts just run through the headliners set as counter programming. Headliners generally run from 11-ish till 1. There's no such a thing as post-headliner options. That only happend once with Tame Impala last year in recent history.
edit: anyways, it was just something I noticed in your break down, that's all.
