Wait I thought I was done picking haha. But this one is the Actual Last, right?
She'll close her set with a serenade of this track to a line of Republican Congressman who will be positioned on stage, bound with rope to their chairs so they cannot get up and leave. Afterwards, they'll be pied to the face.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

i think repeated HLers can be annoying, if you wanna take off points for my lineup bc i had NiN in the 1st infinity and Radiohead 3 and a half years ago in the first roo draft, go for it.
but overall, i think critique of lineups for repeated acts from our 7 or so other games is pretty silly, especially moving forward as it seems the pace of these games might be accelerating. In a few games we're all gonna have to be drafting stuff that we've had before, it's gonna be pretty impossible to avoid.

I think it would be a more interesting critique if we were playing like a Dynasty Fantasy football mode where we someone considered last years festival and didnt want a bunch of repeats.
How dope would it be to do a dynasty thing where we all could start in the first year with a very small budget and it grew over time if you were successful via voting the year prior?

definitely an interesting idea, but that sounds like it could just continue to reward the top drafters and keep the less successful ones on the bottom. kinda like capitalism i guess.
I mean, technically, yeah. Unless all of the Republicans you want performed twice together in public events?
Personally, I don't care but if we're treating every selection the same then you do.
Doesn't sitting in the same room for work every day count as "performing together?"
Not sure if anyone is going to challenge your UDFA pick up of "bunch of Republican a-holes" but that's literally the only risk you'd take with that approach.
At this point I personally get disinterested when I'm drafting the same stuff that I've had previously. I get more enjoyment out of trying to do something cohesive like I did with Glimmer in the last Bonnaroo draft. I have a couple repeats on mine but overall I don't think my current lineup feels like anything else I've drafted before, which is what I was going for. There's nothing wrong with the III Points/DfN angle if that's what you're into but it's stale to me at this point. I'm more likely to vote for a lineup like Fred's because you can tell that more has gone into it than picking the edgy shit that Inforoo is most likely to like. And I mean no disrespect to Pepe or anything else who's gone that route, I just think it's good to switch up vibes and I appreciate that.

I was told nobody wanted to do that because whoever picked Radiohead would rule the world or something similarly hyperbolic but I still think that you should be able to retain a drafted artist (or artists) from one draft to the next. Nothing drafted in the first three rounds and you can only keep the same act once.

Would be interesting to see the festival archs as they got a bigger budget each year. Gonna marinate on this a bit and see if there is some way to make it fun.

Wait no Im thinking you wouldnt retain acts. so not like dynasty fantasy football.

i like freds a lot this time around also, its just picks like Bruno and J Lo that keep it out of my top tier

I haven’t ever seen any of your lineups before, but some of these lineups lost me many rounds ago. I’m just looking for cohesion, not just big names. I don’t get why booking similar acts is an issue, but I could see how some of these lineups could feel tired if they are just more of the same.
like, me and jortles differing on something like volta > zappa, which i thought wouldve been absolutely killer, but he didn't see.
i also don't think that the 'theme' ones here are all that theme-y, just broad topics. (and the first person to say they were bored drafting had a limited pool of artists )
I think it’s possible to be more subtle about it not just have it all spelled out. There are some lineups here I’m really down for and checked that box. A meaner (probably more honest) sentiment would be I just don’t like a lot of the acts some were taking. I can already see how my lineup will backfire against me though cause it’s ultimately aimed for my own interests.
