I have a colorful history with them. First we tried to go see them in 1984 at Jimmys. We were early so went around the corner to drink only to return and find out it had sold out. We all had nazi punks fuck off shit on and this nazi mohawk (the rare occasion I met one of them) told me Hitler was a smart man. I told him that Hitler was a nazi punk and therefore could fuck off. He was not pleased but there were too many of us for him to start shit. They come back in 12/85, so we go to that show. But I had an injured back from getting rhino’d by two of the biggest guys I know at D.R.I. and Corrosion of Conformity which put me on my ass and fucked up ny coccyx bone. So I had to stand on the sidelines for that one. We saw the reunion tour 12-15 years later which featured the original band (Klaus Flouride, DH Peligro and East Bay Ray but with a different singer. It was okay but the DK’s without Jello was a quasi cover band.
I bought In God We Trust, Inc. back in 1984 which was the neighborhood’s first foray into hardcore. My friend borrowed the EP and so I’m at his house about a week later and he’s playing it. I asked him wtf he was doing playing it on 33rpm when it should have been on 45rpm. He tried to play it off by saying it sounds good on 33. Dumbass.
