We had no doctor and I have said in the past like 3 or 4 games I've been planning to fake inspector as town so the inspector could get another guess. I had been waiting to do it until one mafia was known as town so when LD said he was mafia I was like this is my time to shine. I had been jokingly hard on JTR all game and I was glad when he pulled out the receipts that clearly showed i was dicking around. It is extremely unfortunate that I named JTR and that he was inspector but what I wanted to happen happened, and that was to give the inspector another guess. I really didn't think town would be an extremely lackluster reveal, during the night, and that I didn't answer any questions
I think it might have worked if you didn’t say JTR with your reveal. However, as Rummy said, they might have whacked JTR but you gave a nice out for them

Lol we even considered the option of keeping Kanye & JTR alive, then one of us faking on top of that, for MASS CONFUSION. But like, nah, we didn't want to do that to Town hahaha

Yeah you're right. I wouldn't do it again, but I think it's also wrong to completely ignore it as a strategy. JTR even said himself he didn't leave many hints and if we take Rummy at her word then he might have not revealed at all and we wouldn't have had much to go on. I think there's a world in which this makes sense to try: when YOU (faking as town) feel extremely confident who Inspector is, and then uhh...obviously don't name that person in your fake reveal.
Given that you had no idea JTR was our guy, and were just winging it in effect, made the risk higher than the potential reward IMO.

It was considered. But people convinced themselves that LD was mafia when he, uh, said it, and since you had said he was mafia per your guess - and even when I asked you said he said it - I mean, what are we supposed to believe?
I understand your strategy. I've considered it in the past and haven't done it because I thought it wouldn't help the town. If anything, it would have been helpful to do it earlier on D2 so we could have talked about it.
Yeah doing it during the night I think was the major downfall. I’d want to at least be in a position to retract if shit hits the fan. That being said, I’ve never found a situation where it’d be helpful for town to fake inspector (and trust me I’ve been looking lol)

Well I wanted to be whacked and I was 100% sure LD was pissed off mafia. I just guessed JTR and figured he would be able to defend himself the best since he knows me well. And he did defend himself perfectly. Obviously no one will ever know who inspector is before faking so that part is moot. It's just unfortunate that he was inspector. I think if I had cleared someone as town it might've helped but then it wouldn't have made sense for me to "reveal."

We would've just kept you alive as That Loony Guy if it hadn't allowed us a perfect framing of the Inspector. So what benefit does it give town to fake reveal if you're hoping NO ONE believes you? I've read over the game and feel pretty confident that it's Rothric. I've said previously that I thought Rothric is town, so I'm I thinking they may have left me alive because they thought I'd be more likely to vote for Rummy. But I'm not getting Mafia vibes from Rummy this game, and JTR's vote for Rothric at the end of last round is reading to me like a feeble attempt to distance. I'm not 100% on this, but I feel good about it.

yeah i mean I think we just have to get to a point where we make decisions about D5 on D4 without Mafia being aware of what you will do.
Disclaimer: am only able to ref if we get the game started within the next day-ish because I'm moving in one week, and so by next Thursday will notttt be so free through that next weekend.

I've got no problem with anyone personally. Losing grates on me in this game though, especially the epically stupid ways we've been losing.
