I honestly don't find either of you too terribly suspect, but both of you are very good at tricking me. I agree with quite a few of both of your points!
Jaz, you're absolutely correct on the timing of the LD vote switch, I hadn't gone back and looked at the timing of everything. That does put you and Rummy on more of a level playing field regarding the LD vote.
I want to believe Kanye over JTR's claim, but I'm not super confident.
One thing I keep coming back to, is that if JTR was inspector, that means Dan was mafia. Jortles drew attention to a Dan/Rummy connection. I need to go back and take a look at that section again.
Jaz, any thoughts on that?
More to come, but think I'm actually leaning towards voting Rummy right now.
Not to mention that something else I keep coming back to is the fact that I just don't really think Mafia would opt to whack what they knew to be a Fake Inspector (if Kanye was faking as town, that is, and thus the LD/JTR names were bullshit) over trying to get rid of Real Inspector N2. In that case, they'd know they're keeping Real Inspector alive to reveal the next day, and if it had been anyone OTHER than JTR, the counter claim would've carried a lot more weight and worth of consideration for Town.
This is one of the biggest things I keep coming back to. I just can't see why mafia would waste a whack on a fake inspector, leaving the real one alive. Which means Kanye is the real inspector.
I think his first post about JTR/LD was half joke/half clue for later. I just don't think he thought he nailed two of them with that post. After the confirmation of the N1 guess, it's no surprise he came out during N2. I bet the mafia were ready to whack him at that point. Probably would have done it N1, except for needing to take out Jortles first.
I legitimately don't have a good read on either of you right now.
The only thing I KNOW, is that LD was mafia.
Both of you ended up NOT voting for LD D2. However, Jaz had a vote on LD, then moved it to me on D2. I then moved my vote to LD, a move that kept LD in the game and ultimately got him voted out.
Just hoping the other townie sees this and realizes that I'm town as well.
Still not ready to cast my vote, won't be able to do a full read through and a post of more substance till probably 3 am or so.
Yeahhhh so here's how that went down, check the timestamps:
Suspicious of LD and Potent at the moment. Moreso of LD. My moving my vote to Jortles was completely random, so I'm suspicious of the people who piled on. It's not listed in the tally (attn: Jeremy Fragrance ), but Dan and LD were the first to move their votes to him and I couldn't help but notice that they were both on him while they were the other two people in the runoff. That's why I wanted to move my vote back to LD before realizing that it was VERY close to the deadline and moving my vote from Jortles would result in an outright lynch. Potent is lower on my suspicion list, but he moved off and LD and on to Jortles. He may have moved off of Jortles, but if it was a town/town runoff no townie or decent Mafia worth their salt would have stayed on Jortles at that point. I also think Rothric makes a good candidate for the runoff, esp because he received no votes in D1. I am a good candidate for this runoff also, for the same reasons (Jortles voter, didn't receive votes).
I am SO good at stacking unintentionally. I'll move it this time now that we have some info.

I moved my vote literally immediately after I voted for LD when I saw that I had stacked when I didn't mean to. It's not like I bullshitted around and tried to save him later in the round or anything. Nobody had even posted between the minute that it took for me to notice and revote. While your literal description of my vote move is correct, the context shows that it was basically as if I hadn't voted for LD at all.
I agree that I think your stack was unintentional.
However, that doesn't mean it didn't provide the perfect cover for you to quickly move your vote off of your teammate. You state your primary suspicions are LD and Potent. I think your post actually reads as a very nice set-up for future distancing. And then when you saw the stack, you thought quickly and took advantage of the opportunity. Once you moved your vote onto me, you never took it off.
A move that almost saved your teammate D2.
In fact, I don't think you even mention LD again until after he's dead. He quickly went from being your primary target, to being forgotten about.

Will say that at least I feel like my performance this time around made up for my pretty piss poor Mafia-ing last game. No one will believe him." So yep, we went for it. Pls accept my sincere apologies, Cookin' Mama -- it fucking sucks to be Inspector who reveals and people don't buy it. Believe me, been there. But uhh, you've got Silver Surfer to blame for that one haha...we were gonna just let you go peacefully over N2, and only decided to play into the mind games because Kanye literally served the opportunity up to us on a silver platter.

Will just leave you guys with a few bs notes that you can take how you want.
1. In two recent games as Mafia, Rummy has done this terribly obvious thing where she lays out her trajectory of a vote switch off of her Mafia teammate. She ends up talking about it at length out loud. If you guys end up finding out that either her or Dan are Mafia, I'd look into the other on. Will be pretty embarrassing if this was her beginning that process of switching from Dan to me here. Surprised that nobody who played last game where she was about to do this with Jaz / Teddy moved to Dan to see if this would play out.
2. Potent feels different.
3. Idk what to say about Dan. Usually when he's a Townie in this situation he says a lot of "I'm not mafia" and plays a little looser. The quietness now in addition to Rummys potential "wind up" above makes me wonder (if we find out Dan is Mafia) if Dan is the only Mafia on me and that Rummy was getting worried that distancing could have bit her two games in a row.
4. Anything to read into regarding Theo's auto extension?

I think you presenting it as a joke in the beginning may have been your adjustment. Would have loved to see it play out but unfortunately we missed out.

yeaaahhh yeahh... Mafia will always deny the WAY they have been read. The fact is I've caught this same thing about you 3 games in a row now and you were Mafia each time. It doesn't really matter if you follow through with the switch. It is more that you are giving yourself the flexibility.
Now that I've called this out, this will never be a thing in the future because you will adjust. But it was fun while it lasted. Shame it wasn't ever taken advantage of and you won 2/3 games.

The town has no idea what to believe - somebody says they are inspector, the town usually believes them, and the first to reveal usually gets the benefit of the town. It was the reason town lost this game. To get to your argument (which obviously is correct), you'd have to entertain the thought that Dan was mafia, or that JTR was inspector, and the town didn't do that. They lynched the living inspector!!!
Every game - townie does something inexplicably stupid, town loses directly because of it, people pile on after the game, wash rinse repeat.
This one is on Kanye 80% and LD 20%.
Yeah. I don't mind losing when the Mafia play well (and Rummy had me completely fooled this game), but this game becomes impossible to play when other townies can't be trusted. Kanye threw me off the Mafia's scent for the whole game. I'm glad I didn't invest too much energy in this one.

One day they will write "Jortles would have believed JTR" on my tombstone. During all the reveal wars of the last 5-6 games, the person who put in more effort was telling the truth. Why would someone go for a 3rd reveal? I know every game is new, but 3 times in a row? After we've just seen how much effort Kanye puts into reveals when he is Mafia?

If Kanye hadn't have pulled his stunt, JTR would've been whacked overnight and thus the game would've had zero reveals instead of two...but then people could've traced back JTR's posts/hints and used that to their advantage. Given how confident I was that JTR was our Inspector by end of D2--confident to the point that we kept him alive because Kanye had perfectly set up a framing of him--I trust Town would've gotten to conclusion of Dan was JTR's given name with review of D1&2.
Plus, I didn't even have to bullshit much on D5 lol. Like, I was making points that genuinely made sense to me & in most other games would've been factual: like "why would Mafia not whack who they thought to be Real Inspector N2?" It was so easy to hone in on that because the reality is, if we'd felt it was anyone else but JTR we would've ignored Kanye's shenanigans and tried to whack who we really thought it was...but since he framed the guy we were already gunning for, it was too easy to just keep him alive & discredit his counter claim.

In for next game also, not reffing however. Reffing and drafting is a great way to lose all productivity, and I’ve already tried to pick someone who was already drafted lmao. Next time I ref it will be themed too
I think it might have worked if you didn’t say JTR with your reveal. However, as Rummy said, they might have whacked JTR but you gave a nice out for them
