According to a couple people I know at LN, they’re trying to make roo happen with a much different format, stay tuned for an announcement in early July. If they can make it happen, it’ll look closer to Desert Trip than a normal roo. They’re trying to confirm 12-15 acts from the top of the bill, they’re thinking full sets from each act and only opening the What stage area, there wouldn’t be any campground activities or anything in the plazas. If they can get a commitment from enough big acts they’re going to try and give this a go.
If this plan falls through, and granted there’s many hurdles to clear, they’ll be a cancellation announcement in early July.

Would 12 headlining sets be worth the cost of a ticket? If they booked it right it could be cool, but being stuck in the What field for 12hrs with not much shade could be a disaster if the weather is hot. Also, I think they'd have to reduce capacity a bit, maybe they wouldn't sell anymore tickets and just go with whatever amount decided not to do the initial refunds?
Is it because the person has a history of getting caught telling obvious lies and had to create a burner account to spread this rumor if they had a prayer of anyone taking them seriously?
