Hey all,
I'll be 19 by the time Bonnaroo rolls around, as will be my 2 travelling companions. We wanted to bring a bunch of beer down with us...do you think this will be a problem getting through the gates? Do they search cars coming in? And even if they did....would they ID us?
They only made me lift the flat topper on my truck bed to look for NO2 tanks. I haven't heard of alcohol hassles over age. If you are worried, just put it under everything else and have it all thrown in without organizing it. The more chaotic, the better.
I agree. We had our cooler attached to the back of our truck and they didn't even lift the lid. Nor did they search the rest of the car b/c it was so packed down with stuff. Definitely the more chaotic it looks the easier they are on you. Plus we didn't roll through the gates until around 3am. But they're really only checking for nitrous.
ya i was wondering about that too. I'm 20 but want to go to the Brooers festival they are having and try out some micro-brews. Do you think they will be strict on carding?
Neither, the people checking are just kidz like us that volunteer for the free ticket or just to be helpful. There were no cops our security checking cars. They would comment on if it was shwag or digs and put it back where they found it and tell you to have a good time.
I don't think they would confiscate anything but nitrous and they wouldn't arrest you if they found NO2.

The first year I was only 18 and enjoyed buying beer freely. I hope they dont expect us to have our ID with us when I'll be lucky to remeber to wear clothes!!!

it was way cool on the way in (north 25), watch yer speed and be careful. We did see 3 differant cars with the people spread out being searched on the way in but they were the same cars that went by us doing 80 mph. just be smart and don't do anything that would get you pulled over.

Here is an idea, get behind us in the willow bus, that thing is going to get us pulled over all the way to bonnaroo and we will be traveling "clean", there will be nothing that would get us in trouble on the bus but we know we will be pulled over and searched anyway. So we have new inspection sticker, tags, Insurance and county permit. we are leaving nothing to chance.
