Okay so this post might be garbage but I'm running with the idea that since mafia didn't even attempt to whack inspector that no mafia members were really mentioned. Or if they were it wasn't anything super concerning. I'm gonna compile some posts I think are odd or could potentially clear people imo here
Of course this doesn't involve votes, because I feel like day 1 votes dont mean too much- at least after there is a known doctor. I'm talking specific times that someone was mentioned. When I'm mafia I'm never really worried about who's voting for who. I always try to focus on how people are talking. I've mentioned it before, but I think language is the biggest giveaway. I'm mostly going to look for weird confidence but like I said earlier I'm just looking for weird stuff in general. I'll say what's weird about it in my explanation
So at this point Im about halfway through my reread and im starting to gather why they just whacked theo. Nothing substantial has been said so far , at least to warrant suspicion of inspector. What I do worry is that as a result, mafia might have a really slim list of who they think inspector is. Also since nothing has really been said no quiet person is particularly suspicious. And we know inspector likely wouldnt have guessed correctly. AND we now have 2 blind exiles which could very well force an inspector reveal.
I actually now see why this is actually a really advantageous position for mafia, if we are wrong. Sure an extra exile is nice if we know one mafia member, but we might very well exile two townies and even maybe inspector. Mafia can actually win the game much earlier now if we make even one mistake lol
Anyway, gonna try to find some other stuff with the rest of the reread and maybe set a course that I'd like to follow.
I can also just move to Carini or T at any point to save myself for this round
I think you should stay put, would like to see if potentpotables or Teddy Flair go. If they don’t go just switch last second.
This one is kind of interesting. I do think that T is likely town and mafia might have even suspected him of being a potential inspector hence why no one switched off him. Usually mafia has a say in who dies day 1 and more than likely the one that dies has 2 mafia on them. IN this case, potent and teddy could be implicated. It would set off alarms if I were mafia and maybe make me want to exile him. One thing that is odd about it is that Teddy wasn't even votign for Theo at the time, so why would T be expecting a teddy move??? T did say he misread it later but it couldve still made teddy feel uneasy maybe and they decided to keep him in the runoff.
I would like to note that potent is the one that moves off Theo to preserve it. However he moves to someone without a vote at all, which sets him up for revote without having to vote for Teddy to make it a 5way. Now he may argue that he wanted to preserve a four person, but weve tried a 5 person before. It is odd that it wasnt brought up that he set himself up for a revote. Also important to note is that carini ended up on teddy after all that.
Could maybe be a weird distancing thing or just since T put them together he felt like he should be sus of potent. Either way, it is odd that they now have like 3 ties.
And then both Maddog and Rummy ask about what teddy meant.
I have a theory about the method to his madness that I will be happy to share round 2
in round 1, Carini voted for: Theo, Dan, Rummy, Tranter, and Teddy.
Carini did not vote for: SFA, Potent, Maddog, Jortles, Kanye, Carini
Revotes: SFA, potent, Carini
My theory didn't really turn out because I thought he would make more votes, but it does provide some food for thought
Yeah it is interesting stuff to note and I think everyone can kinda draw their own conclusion from it. It obviously is more meaningful if carini is mafia but we don't know that so it is kinda just gonna be a waste to delve into it. I do think the revoting group is something we should look at.
Teddy goes on in another post to quote a bunch of Carini's posts. I feel pretty good that Carini isn't mafia just because he moved around a lot and teddy especially went kinda hard on him. I think Teddy mightve been a good whack guess if Carini was mafia. They also interact with eachother for a bit idk. I think I lean town on both carini and teddy.
Don’t worry I am. King T could be too, but he’s at the center of something interesting here. Shame that re-votes are gonna ruin this currently tasty runoff.
Jortles did say later that he thought Teddy was mafia so maybe that's what meant. But I would like to hear Jortles talk about this.* I think this also means that T is definitely not mafia. I think if he was mafia (even if he is dead now) that jortles would probably be good whack option based on this.
How the FUCK did we get 0 commentary on Tranter putting Carini in an outright lynch position that would have went through if I didn’t ask for an extension / switch very close to the deadline? Literally nothing. There is no question that there would be a significant amount of comments about that move in any other game. But here its totally unnoticed?
Does this only mean that our Town is completely asleep right now? Everyone has finally agreed to play close to the vest like I’ve been wanting? Doubtful. Or could the lack of commentary mean more? I’m going to currently hold back my read of Tranter, Carini, and others I expected to react to that situation, but I’ll just say that I hope everyone is aware of that event and is forming their own opinion about it as opposed to snoozing.

So you weren’t surprised at all that nobody in the entire game found that noteworthy? Beyond an outright lynch it would have at least jumped us to a 2-way or 3-way rd 2 runoff, which in most games would be worth a comment or 2.
Jortles highlights another reason why I think carini isnt mafia. He probably wouldve been saved

Here are a couple posts I find interesting because they have been considered mafia tells in past games. But also they have explicitly called out for it so i really dont know if theyd keep doing it.
I'm not necessarily locked into my vote, but don't love giving jortles/carini the revotes so I'll sray
I mentioned before that when I was mafia with maddog once he always made these kinds of check in posts. Then one game when i was inspector he made a post similar when he was mafia again and I guessed him because of it. SOmething to note.
(And no, this isn't a Rummy Posting Fluff Because is MAFIA thing...just, has been notably weird so far)
Idk about Jortles falling out of the run off. Maybe in part due to how we literally are incapable of being Town together, so knowing my own innocence makes me question his, lol. But eh, I see no reason to pull King T out of it, which is where I'm currently positioned.
Ok now I know you aren’t mafia because there is no way you’d wind up for a switch as Mafia for a 3rd or 4th game in a row.
This whole King T/Theo "i'll go for you!" --> "and i for you!" ... meh, doesn't quite sit right. Distancing-esque? Snagging 2/3 Mafia in D1 runoff would be pretty lucky, though far from inconceivable.
It also could be nothing. But it is sticking out as just a little cutsey/contrived rn?

Probably most suspicious of Potent because of stuff I talked about before and he just seems off idk.
I'm also suspicious of SFA. When I was mafia with him he stressed the importance of finding out who inspector was by looking at votes. There wasn't much switching and no super interesting votes in general. I think it makes sense for mafia SFA to not even attempt to try to find inspector since no one really attacked him and also he probably didnt really find anything to grab at.
Then probably Rummy, Maddog, Danbob in that order.

Let's assume there are 3 mafia alive. Right now we have 7 townies. We'll probably exile two townies. And then they'll whack another random person since Teddy is already confirmed doctor. Mafia will only have to guess who inspector is in a group of 4. Which honestly they probably will do. It is kinda easy to guess who inspector is at that point. Or at the very least, who isn't inspector.
to answer your question about my vague post from D1, I had noticed some weird interactions between potent and SFA that gave me vibes they might both be mafia. I don't really have time to pull quotes right now since I'm working, but later tonight I'll go a little more in depth.

Well because mafia can still control the narrative since they're full strength and we're shooting blind. Normally we at least have something to go off of day 2 but we don't even have a misdirect lol

I agree with you there. I feel like the idea of "oh and then we get two exiles in a row, great!" sounded swell, but uh....when that happens right after a D1 with Doc Reveal, it isn't like Town is entering D2 with hardly any info of consequence. So now we are blindly exiling twice in a row without any additional info gleaned from a whack in between.
This is sort of an Eek Situation IMO.

You guys are going to have to figure out a different way to play, because for all of the people who have a read on me and are sus of me, none of you are correct, and in fact you haven't been in any game in over two months (going back to 123 and I guess since me/Teddy/Jortles won on D4 there - a rarity these days, you didn't really have a read there either).

I'm beginning to think that the best thing for the doctor to do, if they are in the soup D1, is to die quietly, and leave it up to the town guessing whether doctor is still alive. I understand what Theo did and this is not a criticism of his move because it's a tough call to make at that time, but once again we have kneecapped the doctor role. The mafia has unwittingly, I think, this game found another way to exploit a role to their advantage when it's ultimately meant to level the playing field. Which is pretty frustrating to me.
