In previous games we've established that the doctor should not come out. I'm going with that strategy. The inspector believes that Theo is town now, but if the inspector comes out with a doctor hiding, and is saved from a whack, then we'll know Theo is lying and be able to exile him as mafia.
And again - I don't actually think Theo is lying, but I'm not going to pretend I 100% know he's not when there's no way for me to know that. I'm keeping my mind open to all of the possibilities. The Occam's Razor here is certainly that Theo is doctor, and I'm heeding discussions from past games that we need to rely on the simplest explanation as townies instead of concocting elaborate, complex theories.
The doctor can't save anymore. They only get one save a game. It is pointless for the doctor to keep hiding right now. Theo is doctor.
We don't know that a save occurred. We know that Theo claims a save occurred, and we have a D2a/2b.
It would not be pointless for a real doctor to hide right now...they would be able to save the inspector, because the save would still exist if Theo is lying.

I stand corrected. Somehow I didn't remember that we changed that rule, which I know is going to make people suspicious of me even more, so we should probably get on with my exile.
What I was recalling was the game I reffed - 123? - where Jaz was mafia, first doctor game, and I think you and Rummy were his teammates, and you discussed not submitting a whack but I felt like you had to.
Pretty much all the random thoughts I have conflict in one way or the other, but I have a weird gut feeling of some connection between Jortles and Potent. This post in particular kind of rubbed me the wrong way:
Because as town having any morsel of "confirmed" info is so much better than guessing, which is most of what this game is as a normal townie.
Also Jortles voting Potent out of the gate early D2 feels like an easy distancing move when town is already pretty all over the place since we don't have much to work off of. I'm probably zeroing in on the wrong connection, but I bet there's a mafia on another mafia right now. Potent also jumped on Kanye a lot harder than I would have for mixing up me and Teddy too. Potent already has 2 votes on him so I'll go on Jortles. Anyone joining?

Look, I think you are the doctor (though in a minute I'm going to spell out how you might not be). But the "morsel" of information we have is that you are the doctor, and we get a second exile today. If you hadn't revealed, we let the chips fall where they may, you very well may have been exiled, but then we get a whack (morsel!), get all of the information on D2 that comes with the whack (discussion), and we don't have the negative effect of having a D2a where the town has no idea what's going on. At best it's a tradeoff, but I think (subjectively, sure) that confirming a townie through a whack is more helpful than confirming a townie through a failed whack/save. If you don't think that's an idea with any merit, then we just won't agree and you're blinded by the fact that you are the doctor this game and it was your decision.
Also, as I said above - it's not technically impossible that you are lying. You could be mafia, and mafia submitted no whack N1, which is advantageous to them to not tip their hand about who they are worried might be inspector, and allows the town to do the dirty work of eliminating other townies (and causing lots of confusion in the process). Again, I'm heavily on the side of you telling the truth - 95% or higher - but those who are 100% make me worried (cough Teddy cough) because it's not a 100% certainty to those of us who are normal townies - it's only a certainty to you if you are truthy, and to the mafia who tried to whack you (or whom you are part of).
If someone wants to go ahead and claim doctor to show how it’s not me, they are welcome to.

I didn’t read through the whole conversation while making those responses by the way, seems like you guys already covered it. Also I completely agree with the people saying I’m just a blind town, since that is absolutely the case. I’m just a name that you probably shouldn’t exile, not the name to listen to. I don’t have much of an idea of what’s going on right now.

However, your comment does feel like you ignored what I said. I have not ever once argued that the "real doctor" saved you. I argued you could potentially be mafia, and the mafia submitted no whack. This is against the rules, I was wrong.

Why are you wanting to push someone up to 3 votes now anyway?

When this day started, I said Potent / Kanye / Dan were too quiet. I was also a little suspicious of SFA and still have my eye on him.
At this point, I think we got enough out of Potent / Kanye / SFA to where if one of them gets revealed to be Mafia, the Town will have a lot of interesting interactions to decipher.
So that's why I'm now feeling like Rummy / Dan / Maddog / Teddy could use some poking. Kind of encouraged to see Potent and Kanye mention 3 of those names right before me here.

Well jortles since we're voting together rn let's work it out. If you're gonna move off potent I might as well too. I'm not much of a revote guy and would rather help curate a runoff. Anyone out if those 4 you wanna pressure the most? I feel good about any one of those
